What if both theory work, before the Wither, the Trial Chamber were used a coming-of-age ritual, but after rise of Wither, their function switched to army training ground, and they upgrade some of the spawner and make more trap, so it will be more difficult and challenging, and prepare them for the wither.

I don’t think a SINGLE Wither could wipe out an ENTIRE CIVILIZATION of technologically advanced builders, given that they had enchanted diamond armor and weapons. The Wither is by no means easy to take down but it can be overwhelmed by large numbers. A more plausible explanation is a zombie virus.

Building off the idea that the Trial Chambers were built to prepare troops for the Wither, both the Ominous Vault and Keys have three dark gray skulls, much like the Wither itself

One thing that I haven’t seen many people talk about is the tree room as it seems pretty random at first but when looking inside the chests it makes sense. In them are always honeycomb and some sort of axe and if you didn’t know a beehive has a small chance of spawning when growing a tree sapling. This explains how the builders were able to wax every single block in the chamber and they could obtain the honey comb. That tree was probably one of the most important areas in the chamber

Both proposals could be true the ancient builders could have originally built the trial Chambers for rasing their youth in combat but were later repurposed to train soldiers to kill the withers

The villagers remind me of the bikura from hyperion

I think the illagers bc the ominous vaults structures around them looks like a pillager face with red eyes, the breezes eyebrows look like pillagers and in Minecraft dungeons pillagers have wind magic like in the howling peaks dlc, and in the same dlc the dungeons they built were made of metal and stone that looked like trial chambers, also in Minecraft dungeons there is a weapon that has a slow, powerful, attack that have an area of effect called “stormlander” that is “a valuable possession of the illagers” and it has very similar look and effect as the mace, also the weapons from vaults are crossbows and axes (sound familiar?) and the armor from the vaults is only able to be a chest plate, which is the only piece of armor found in woodland mansions which the pillagers built, and the pillagers also made the ominous bottle which can be used and found in trial chambers, but idk

It should be noted that some of the traps in the walls have lingering potions in them. That would mean that whoever built the trial chambers had already defeated the ender dragon, but not in your world since there are no end gateways when you get there. Theory: They’re from an alternate universe, aka another world seed. Minecraft multiverse confirmed.

When I looked back up at the number of views this video had; I honestly was shocked! I know it wasn't posted too long ago as of writing this, but this is a really great video and I loved the connections you made throughout. Keep pushing, you're doing great!

The part about the trial chambers I found interesting is that with a slime trial spawner it could give us a start on the origin of the slime. Even if it isn’t an important part of the story it’s full of neat details like how all the copper bulbs would have to be made after the nether fortress as they need a blaze rod.

2:53 personally i think that the ancient builders and the villagers lived around the same time given how one of the pottery sherds we can find in the underground ruins has a villagers face on it, maybe theyre just some other type of human? that might not be as capable pyschially and mentally? or maybe them not fighting and building is more so a gameplay mechanic than a lore one? i can image coding villagers to build and mine would be a nightmare and a half. other than that i really loved the video very informative and gave me new things to think about!!

A couple things since I recorded the voiceover nearly 2 months ago now: 1) I've seen the video about how the Trial Chambers are inspired by the Gachapon (particularly the trial vault) and by Mesoamerican architecture and aesthetic, so lump that in with what I said about them at 0:49... and 2) some time after completing this video, I did review what others were saying and saw that videos like the one by GameTheory, for example, made a similar connection about the Breeze and the Wither... great minds think alike! (Don't forget to like and subscribe haha)

You could probably kill it their very very weak once you know their attack pattern and can parry and flurry rush 100% of the time
