I am a baptised LDS in Australia. I went to the SBN Ministeries TV channel over a year ago, and have kept on being drawn back to it. I sometimes listen for hours, and have learned more than i could have possibly imagined. I now realise that The Holy Spirit has guided me, and has been instrumental in this. My Grandparents and Aunt went to a SDA church, my Grandparents would not pay attention to EW they focused on Christ and were God fearing Ppl! The reason I'm still alive and did not die when I was young was first because of the Lord and my Grandparents and Aunts prayers!! I was difficult as a kid and reckless, but the Lord honored their prayers, my Grandmother in her 80s would fast a pray on her knees in the kitchens extra room! I walked in on her a few times to use the small bathroom in there, praying in Serbian for my safety and her other Grandchildren! You see, by the time I turned 7yrs old I lost my home my 40yr old Father to brain cancer and then 1yr later my beautiful Sister Rebecca got killed! She was 13, my Mother suffered! We both did! My Grandparents were terribly worried about me thinking something might happen to me too! I don't care what denomination you belong to as long as you have the basic fundamental teachings of the Trinity! Father, Son And Holy Ghost, which they devoted their lives to! Yes, their are some flaws and rivets, but if you know Christ and put your trust in him entirely your his!! And no one can pluck you from his hands!!

The assessment issue is HUGE and Big and a mess.. we need accountability but the crazy testing we are all trying to print we are scoring higher in math and sciences than the rest of the world. I was taught in collge and read abd read.. it started with sputnik... and became crazy all we did in the last years I taught was practice test and test and out of the blye the Nape testers come in and the tecahers out. AND TEST 4TH GRADERS AND WE ARE SO TIRED OF TESTING... who knows...But computers arent going away...paperwork is a mess.. But getting rid of the Dept of Ed. Is not the answer. We will be back to the poorest states like Louisiana, and neighbors will have lowest scores ever... Actuallly we can do more with our kids... KY did . Poverty is the big difference maker. Also Tepeka , Kansas. Vs BROWN of education.. did start integration.... now we have white flight/ actually more wealth flight and the poorest children mostly white where I live and they have so many problems it takes a lot of work and people to reach them the behavior of some kids and now drug kids.. Disrupt education for the rest. Oh.. And the way they try to close the achievement gaps.. My last 2 years the way they explained it was unconstituatuonal to me.. We have issues.. a lot.. but I believe you all are making a mountain over a mole hill.. I hear the math incorrect answer all the time. ALL i saw was if you have a 2 point or 4 pont ? The child will get points for going about solving the problem but if the answer is wrong that parts gets zero points.. That I know. That is the way it was or is suppose ti be..No that is wrong. They show there work and go about it the right answer.. but axd ir subtract wrong.. that part is wring.. they dont get 100% They get 2 out of 4 or 1 out of 2..

Stanford professor... with advanced calculus being your lowest class well most in years gone by dont have calculus either. Plus if they are coming there and that smart , they will study calculus missing on their own.. There are truths but you all are going from a socialist to a 2 class system. And it doesnt add up. It was made ro give all a chance. Standards have always been around. They try them for 5 or 10 years then quit and do something else.. The standards are more open ended than a box. So I was told to tell teachers over and over not tomsemd it home We had workshops.. I will look at the English standards . I THINK you all are blowing it all out of range. I will read through the standards Guess what we still have to get them ready for ACT and SAT... plus the Big nape test vs us against all other countries.. So that is another novel on its own.
