Great idea. Really. These small devices .. there's juicy potential in using them, and sometimes their size gets in the way. So adding speakers, to turn them into toys effectively, knocks the usage experience up a whole bunch of notches. Sometimes the iteration time, I think the time between twisting a dial and hearing something, feeling good about it and then twisting it again is too long. Like there's something cumbersome about some of these devices that just needs to be overcome so that you can kind of lose the annoying type of attention that's required to use them, making sure your fingers fumble on the right little button. A virtuous situation is when you are able to close your eyes or just lose focus and start rocking out, twisting on some dial and pressing buttons. Next, for this project I was thinking of getting a spring loaded grabby arm, like you might see in a joystick adapter for a cell phone: you can pull the two arms of the adapter apart, stick your phone in the middle, and let it kind of clamp shut. I'd like to do that but with speakers. Currently these speakers dangle around and plugging them in is a little fiddly because pins on the board might snap off someday.

Guys are suggesting 3d-printing on the forum .. though i'm more of a cardboard box kind of person. I want it to have gimbals for the speakers, to tilt them like dog-ears.

@@Boomchacle yes, I've not explored them, and am frustrated by how awesome the players are who have. They boom fly all over the place.... I have a hard time catching them. For me, PS5 is the way to go because PS4 loading time and fps are poor, and I expect I will get 0wned on PC quickly and forever. You do PC?

@@ByteSizedSociety yeah I only do PC. I would recommend trying to use impulse grenades because they unlock an entire new style of gameplay

Graphics quality doesn't affect game quality. Seems like modern game companies don't understand that with almost everything coming out nowadays being hella mid.

I did not build it, a SoCal guy is doing it. It is cool, and I like it because it does a lot of cool stuff. It has some serious limitations because of how small it is and the hardware platform it is built on is handy but limited. I think part of the point of the device is its limitations. So it's a bit beyond me because I frankly don't have the skills, yet. It does sound really nice though. I'm just starting learning it. I can hardly make a tune without getting distracted. So it's always something I can get better at I guess 🙂

I'm also really interested in the dirtywave M8. It's a tracker and it's portable. And I've got a lot more experience with trackers. So I think I'll be able to crank out tunes with that. This Qun device is really for me to make weird sounds with.

Polyend appears to have a bit of a neutral vibe. Many features, bigger screen, less $. And I prefer, without having either, the M8 since it has more of an opinion about the music making process. The workflow seems to be conducive to what I am looking for. Both seem to have good resale value so if one is networking then getting money out of it and putting it back into a different one seems not too difficult.

At the time I had no idea that this would happen. We were fighting endless waves of NC. Thankfully I have that explosive super vision, and can see anti-tank mines. It was a fantastic explosion.

You know I have pretty often experienced crashes. I haven't figured out what is the cause for it, whether it's just one of the levels, one of the continents I mean, or something else. Fortunately on the PlayStation 5 the time to get back into it is about one and a half minutes. But yeah I have experienced more of everything, really, with the PlayStation 5, because of its speed I think.
