Great channel however this last comment stated they had Caucasian parents. Did you verify that they are from the Caucus mountains only they are true caucasians

I’m a new student starting with this video and I was wondering if there will be in the upcoming videos, a lesson on how to properly perform glottal stops especially the k’??

Hello! Why wouldn’t yan be included in “Tu’ux a kaajal?” And why wouldn’t there be a 3rd person suffix at the end of yan for “Tu’ux yan?”
Hello! So with putting j in front of a name, would I commonly put that in front of the name of each person I would interact with? And is it for men and women?
Hello! I noticed that you put the accent in k’íin for the first two and for the next two you didn’t for k’iin, I was wondering if that was intentional and what that signifies?
@@jonaswrightyoro Hello! You can use either add or not add the accent for the word k'iin/k'íin. Both spelling forms are accepted.
¡this video is really helpful for me thank you so much!

I am interested in the linguistic influences to the P'urhepecha language. Could you talk about that? thanks Jorge.
The pronunciation of the letter j is similar to its pronunciation in Spanish. Is it an influence of the Spanish or is it just a similarity?
I would say it's a coincidence.
I study Mayan language from time to time, I benefited from your videos, thank you. The Mayan language and the Turkish language are close to each other. There are many common words. That's why it sounds familiar to my ears, but I'm also curious about the Nahuatl language. After learning the Mayan language thoroughly, I want to learn Sanskrit and then I will look at the Nahuatl language. I just wanted to send a message of support and thank you.
Finally a new video, better start writting this down. I'm glad you started again and I wish you luck amigo.
Jach níib óolal. There will be new videos in May and June. Hope you like them all.

I'm watching all your videos right now because I just finished Black Panther 2 and was in love with how the Talokan Mayans spoke. It's supposed to be similar to Yucatan Mayan. Your videos are so simple and good, such a beautiful language. Thank you!
Is there a feminine version of J?

Is the Yucatec Maya language the one I should be studying alongside the ancient Maya glyphs? I understand their are many Maya languages so not sure which corresponds the closest to the ancient language
Try ch'ol (Lakty'añ) and chortí. They speak languages closer to the ancient language of the people who built the ancients cities in the Lacandona and Peten Jungles.
Thank you so much, Jorge. I am blessed to have retired here from the US between Tulum and Coba. Many of my friends and workers here are Yucatec Mayan. Many are Mexicano. I speak enough Spanish to survive but I am much more interested in learning everything I can about Mayan history, culture, language, artifacts, art, greetings, farewells, or specific compliments. for me to learn and practice. Beliefs about health and healing are also fascinating to me as a retired nurse. I have been to Bolivia on a medical mission yrs ago and blessed to spend time among the Quechua Mayans. Please keep teaching as you are a natural and your deep respect and love for your heritage is beautiful! ❤
