How could it be, that she was not clear about JESUS ,when she was 15 years old ??? When I was 15 yesrs old, I also did not know at all. As Sr Helena I loved naturesoo much and was faszinated by the life in all animals and in trees, planta and so on. I was sure, that behind all this nature, there must be a creator. And I felt deep respect and love for HIM. But brought up as catholic child I also did never understood the Relationships between JESUS and me. I guess almost all catholics get confused about this question, when they become about 12 to 15 years old. That means, that there MUST BE SOMETHING VERY WRONG WITH RELIGION CHILD EDUCATION in catholic church. It's just not enough to teach little catholic children about all Rituals, Traditions and about all saints and about Pope and Hierarchie of the cstholic church. WE MUST ALOW THE LITTLE CHILDREN TO DEVELOP A VERY PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS TO JESUS. ONLY THEN THEY WILL NOT GET LOST DURING THE TIME OF BECOMING ADULTS.

Clearly, the so called radical feminist values you espoused, were immature interpretations of a feminist point of view. You didn't have the opportunity or desire to grow into a feminist world view. That's just sad. Your transition to religious life is interesting. I hope you've found the way to a mature feminist point of view.

She was told a lie before she was radicalized and before she became a Catholic nun. Read the Bible for yourselves. Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.

Sr Helena’s story is fascinating to me - originally from an Irish Catholic background in Rural Ireland myself (where I still have extended family) and living 21 years in Manchester U.K., at age 53 now, I eventually came back to the Catholic faith 18 years ago after many years on the gay scene since my teens in the 1980’s, where I would have supported the struggle for LGBT rights and equality (I still can’t believe that was 40 years ago) so I’m a non practising older gay man. Much of the things that I have seen in the gay world are things about which I profoundly and fundamentally disagree and given the kind of prejudice and discrimination which I had encountered at the hands of LGBT activists because of my Catholic faith background, I started to look very critically at the LGBT movement and I did not like what I saw, when looking at it from a truthful traditional Irish Catholic perspective and there are still many issues within the LGBT community which remain of huge concern. In turn this gradually led me to supporting the Irish truth and patriot movement just before Covid after I’d moved to the U.K. and after over 30 years in supermarket retailing - in 2021, I had a later in life diagnosis of Autism. Post Covid, I visited Ireland for the first time since December 2019, in August 2022 and again in October 2022 and frankly, I was horrified by what I had seen in all of the areas of Dublin that I used to know and the stories that I’d heard from friends and family in Ireland.

The Catholic Church shouldn't even exist anymore with the incredible child sex abuse they have wrought. There is no moral position for Catholicism to criticise "radical" feminism while they continue to defend sexual offenders. The hypocrisy is astounding.

Not from radical feminist but to a nun who hopefully continues the role of feminist in the church , where it is needed.

I’m kind of divided on the issue of feminism within the Church, even though I lean towards the eternal traditions of the Church, which traditions I personally believe are worth saving, which is why I became an FSSP Catholic 18 years ago - not to “throw shade at” Sister Helena, but I would very much like to hear her viewpoints on this, because literally the Vatican II Church is at a crossroads in the post-Covid age - as an older gay man, I’m totally opposed to gay Marraige, “drag queen story hour” and other changes regarding LGBT issues in the church in recent years - it is beyond heartbreaking what is happening in the church right now, including in my home parish in Rural Ireland

Teachers telling parents what to do? Give me a break. Parents are making teachers' jobs impossible these days, and children are not learning.
