Using Database Maps to help write SQL queries
มุมมอง 161ปีที่แล้ว
Use this video to help understand what is meant by a "Database Map", WHY it is important, and HOW it helps you write SQL queries that JOIN tables together. Note minor mistake in the top-left corner of the Map. DriverFK values should be format "d000_" not "d00_". Although the Map shows incorrect values, the database itself has been corrected, which is why the query demonstrations work ok.

MESSAGE TO SHEFFIELD HALLAM VIEWERS:-Throughout this video, take it as read that the example is called "SalesStar" (and not StarSales). And for you , when you give your user name, just put your code (eg b0001111), with no prefix (don't put "SHU\")
At minute 4:50, untick the "ID" field from the "Select Measures" panel.
At minute 3:27 the video is missing a screenshot. When it asks you about "Name Matching" select the first option available : "Same name as primary key"
