Found one for $50... grab or not?
In real 5er
The 1100 is a beast when rejetted and k.n. filters, the 750 a Adequate Blvd bike. This thing is a camel back wanna be up graded mo- ped.
Mine Does not go over 130 ? Anybody got any idea why?
Get that carbed cleaned and tuned if you havent. Weight of rider can play a big part. Tyre pressure can also effect Wind can be a big factor
Approximately 93 miles per hour
For those who doesn't wanna wait. This video shows max at 150 km/h = 93 mp/h
only 150km/h u search on youtube y15 top speed.. 200km/h
200km/h virago 535? not even on downhill. im sure those speedometers are broken or something is not ok on those motorcycles. a stock virago will never reach 200
Is the Speedo reading correctly?? Scenery going by far too slow to my eyes
NO TIENE RELACION LA 250CC LLEGA A 140 KM/H Y LA 535 CC QUE ES EL DOBLE LLEGA A 145KM/H
when are you going to make a video of how fast it can go, now you were driving 150
Mine goes ~172km/h on flat roads, never tried going downhill on the highway but I think it can block the needle On the other hand, I have debugged the original exhaust, removed a little weight (cut mudguards, fire and headlight replaced) and I'm a featherweight barely 60kg, It certainly plays, especially the last point 😂
Oh man, weight makes a hell of a differnce! I'm a meaty 85kg and it really sets a hard limit on my speed lol
150 kph...so in reality about 145👌
I had 165km/h on my stock 2001 XVS535 DX Virago.
I used to have 20 years ago a 1993 model 535 with 46 hp. It took easily 170 kmh on the speedometer.
Its 400
@@авэмкумен what is 400?
@@madsbuhris model virago 400
No such model in EU or US. .
Easily? Mine reaches 140, but it's not nearly comfortable at those speeds. i'd say even 120 is too much for this bike.
how much horsepower this virago has? because if im not wrong, there are virago 535 wih 34hp and virago 535 with 46hp
My virago 1992 had 46hp. Top speed 160km/h and acceleration was 7s something.
I’m looking into buying one but my guy says I need a 750 to keep up with his 750 but I’m just learning to ride. Do you think a 535 virago can keep up with a 750 Honda shadow?
Only time you would maby struggle is against a 700cc sportbike but thats beacuse its a totaly diffrent bike. When it comes to cruisers between 500-900 they are all quite close in preformace. Take a intruder 800 vs the Virago 535. Its 10hp more in the Intruder and the 1/4 mile is only 0.6 sec faster. So in the real world you will never struggle to keep up with them. The perks with the bigger cc bikes, mostly 1000cc and above is that they preform better with two up and at highway speeds. Thats thanks to the extra weight, longer wheel base and power. I was torn between the 535 and a bigger cc bike as my first for a long time. Thinking like you I wanted the bigger bike but a older friend who rides HD's and mostly a Road King told me to get the 535. Why? Well it was cheaper to buy and own so that ment more cash to gear. It is also lighter, not by much but still not a bad thing as a new rider. A shadow 750 is a nice bike for sure but its not really faster then the Virago 535. If you are really tall it might be more comfy tho. Sorry for my novel, but just wanna end with the most important thing for new riders. Just get a bike, how fast it is dont matter, getting to ride dose. So if picking the Virago means you get a bike faster and you even want it then go for it. Worst thing that can happen is that after a year or two you swap it for another bike or you feel that riding was not for you. In both cases you will not loose much cash as they another new rider wants it 😊
@@roundlake96 I'm a new rider.bought my first bike 2 years ago and I got a 750 virago so I don't have enough knowledge to say anything you're saying is wrong but I don't believe this 535 is stock. This toy has been toyed with. As far as actual riding goes I don't think you'll have a problem staying with the gang on a 535 as opposed to a 750 but if a 750 wanted to go all out I do think the 535 would lag behind.
@@jamesr.waltonjr.457 probably the best option for him would be the yamaha vulcan s 650 which is similar to the shadow but the shadow has less vibrations on highspeeds
@@jamesr.waltonjr.457 it is Stock..the 46ps model can go up to 170km/h ...I tried one today im gonna go for it ...the vibration starts in over 110-120km/h and it is comfy enought for low and mid distances ... just need to replace those bars... and maybe exhaust ...to get the HD feeling
@@afonsosousa4032 not yamaha its a kawa
Wee bike won't thank you for that...
it maxes out at 93mph
it has reached 100mph, the angle of the camera was not the best
my xv535 goes only up to 110-120 km/h and i dont know how to fix that
Mine is the same No more 110 km/h
I made several 300km (186mi) trips with her on freeway for 6 months (at least twice a week), and one thing I found unique about the motorbike is that at a cruising speed of 140-150km per hour, I didn't feel too hard and it was quite comfortable. In February I switched to a VFR800 and I still miss this bike. It doesn't have a great top speed, but it has strength and once we get used to it, it's quite comfortable and reliable. It needs some nurturing, up-to-date revisions, cleaning and lubrication, as I told before, until I've done a full overhaul the bike seemed another one.
you have to check carburetors membranes
maybe u have virago with 34 horsepower?
My chinese 150cc goes 110km/h, wth? I had a 250cc virago before and went up to 140km/h, altough, very incomfortable.
I have the 535 & the 750,I think the 535 is quicker off the mark than the 750 , but it might be the screen on the 750 make me think it's slower , I love the 535 for short runs about town ,nice & light , but the 750 is by far the most comfortable to ride ,
Was impressed until I saw km. I hate living in the US
Then please leave.Thanks in advance
Don't be ignorant. You don't ride fast in one of these
Nice
Damn. This beast is fast. My 87 Virago 535 struggles to get past 45 mph. But, I'm a novice motorcyclist and might be treating it too kindly. At the 40 mph mark, the machine seems too roughed up for me to push it further.
before doing carburetor cleaning and complete overhaul, I had the same problem, then it looked like another
I have same virago 535 . top speed is 170+ . which model is your virago?
This was from 1992. if yours hits 170+ straight, something is wrong, this engine had a top speed announced by yamaha of 155 km/h. www.cyclechaos.com/wiki/Yamaha_XV535
Lousey biker that bike easily hits 160km
It hited 160km but the camera angle was not the best. By the way, it hits it and it stops there, unless you're on a descent
thank you for you´re excellent wonderfull movie! I am planning to buy a virago
I have a 94' 750. It is an excellent bike. Currently stock. My only complaint is the noise cancelling muffler. Will be updating by removing baffles or straight piping but even stock it is so much fun. You can't go wrong with the virago. Take care of her and she will give 100k + miles of enjoyment.

why 8 minute video? 1 minute would be enough..................
Rafiaz Prodz Who made you watch those 8 minutes? Who was the insolent!
Why stop it at 150 😣
150km is 93mph. Good enough for highway dips. 100km (62mph) looks like the cruizing speed for acceptable rpm. if financial crash comes, lighter bikes are better on gas
well that was a waste of time looking at a clock
The goal was just to clarify how this model performs in the limit. I don´t know what you expect, but leave me a sugestion, I promisse that I will try to acomplish it. Best regards
u could have said all u needed 2 say at the same time given me something 2 look at apart from a clock lol
@@mickowen568The guy is riding around. I enjoyed just watching and hearing the bike go

Levou óleo, velas e cabo acelerador novos.
Neste momento estou completamente rendido.
