I tried the mixer out with some headphones to use as a kind drag around the house headphone amp, unfortunately I only got a one-sided signal through my headphones. Have you tried to get that to work? Btw is the amp /cab sim on even if the pedal isn't on? Considering you don't have it turned on half the time?

The zoMBie 2 from Joyo is a great tiny amp for way less money I have the zoMBie 2 BanTamp xl from Joyo Glad i bought 1

Different mids by a long way.

Going back to the Mesa with humbuckers gave fuller tones, but nothing worth multiple times the money. Other than that, the Joyo held its own very well, and was of course much cleaner.... no one is going to choose a Mesa for clean tones. The tube pedal feeding either at high amp gain was too much.... not pleasant breakup. I found the same thing with a tube monster (with 12AU7 upgrade) doing the same thing through my little Vox modeling amp on all but the clean channels. Imagine the guitars or other equipment one could purchase for the difference in cost. Thanks for the interesting comparison. I wouldn't have thought it would be close.

sure they're going to sound a bit different, but it's close enough for Rock-n-Roll. If you're a trust fund baby get the Mesa. If you're low on budget get the Joyo. Very simple.

They sound like a sawing machine!! No tone at all but obviously Chinese cheaper than American & very close for guitar players that could care less about tone that has thick mids.

boogie has more punch and clarity

The joyo on 1/2 gain and no Tube screamer matched the tone of the mesa on full gain with tube screamer to me. Joyo with tube screamer for me. Not because of the price but because of the sound.

Love the sound I get from the Joyo but it just isn’t loud enough. It peaks at around 10 o’ clock on the volume knob. I tried it through a 4x12 even and it was not loud.
