Didn't much care for this movie. The drama scenes went on way to long and very over acted. I can now understand why i never herd of this old movie. The story line was good but very bad directing and editing.

it's well filmed, cinematography is really good, as for the story, I get the impression they're prisoners from the UK shipwrecked around Tasmania en-route to Aus, the gaelic language (I'm assuming) spoken on occasion is a big clue, quite harsh environment in those dark days, thanks for the film
