We bought a Maytag set in 2003. The washer is oversized. It is awesome. I bought every spare part there is. I told my wife we would have this washer and dryer until they put us in the ground.

I've had the same washer for 8 years, so it's a shame I'm just learning how to properly use it 🤣🤣🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️ I'm glad it sill works after filling it WAY past 30% (let's just say somewhere near 80%, give or take) and all the imbalance I've caused!! I'll be taking your tips to heart IMMEDIATELY!!! I was really just coming to see if i should leave the hole uncovered, but I got a whole lot more!! Thank you so much for the informative video!! (I'm marching upstairs now to rearrange my washer and take out a bunch of clothes for my load that's scheduled in a few hours 🤣🤣)

@affordableappliances3082 On my mom's electric Frigidaire stove the burners work, but the clock display, quit working which also is the display to turn the oven on and off. We tested the Bake and Broiler elements, and they're good. I can't find a Control Board or a relay. Is it okay to still use the burners? Thanks

if you have to properly load the machine doesnt it just seem a little less modern these people are getting cucked out by these junk trash models and having so much copium on the face to just deal with it. these are all trash and so are the shills who push them. When you gotta wash less clothes per wash it's not really high efficiency. It's using the same amount if not more resources. They fool society with their government legislated nonsense on just about every consumer product anymore. It's why products are no longer made well because the cost to produce it, the prices would be too high if they didn't cheapen the product.

I have a gas range that shows F1 can you point me in the direction on how to fix it? I can’t afford a new control board. I’ve already checked the wires and the control board doesn’t have any burned marks

Thanks for posting this, helped me tremendously on taking out the coin mechanism! I was able to clear my jam. However, after a few loads, the machine will not take any coins. The coins will go in, however the machine is not recognizing them. When pressing the return, the coin will come back out. Any idea what this could be? Thanks!

The new machines take an eternity to finish a load!! I'll keep my 20 year old washer, thank you. And if it breaks I'll repair it, or buy another used one.

Hey just asking I have a new top load washing machine(automatic )without the agitator thing in the middle. It's just like your washing machine but it doesn't have the HE logo and it "wash" like those twin tub manual washing machines. Do I load it the same way as you did or not? Thanks!

An old Maytag top loader will outlast anything made today. My 1987 Maytag is just stretching it's legs, bought it for $100 with the matching dryer 10 years ago.

Affordable Appliance & Parts are amazing and I cannot thank the team & especially Matt for helping me out with my Maytag Washer Coin issue. The fact that I was calling from out of state didn't stop them from offering me support & guidance in getting my coin drop up and running. My original service repair guy that I called told me I needed a new washing machine because he could not fix the problem and Maytag no longer made this part. I found Matt's TH-cam video online and now my washing machine and the coin drop are working perfectly fine. This repair service is the BEST.

This is why I'm old school all the way. Back when the first suds saver washers-- or ANY washers--- were made, they were built to last. It wasn't unheard of to own one that broke down MAYBE every ten to twenty years, if you took good care of them. Back then, we FIXED our things, and didn't think of buying another until it was absolutely necessary. The capacity may have been a biit smaller then, but I'd rather have that than anything like a computer driven piece of garbage that has a life of maybe 3-5 years. I had a bad experience with the computer drive washer. It tore my clothes to shreds because it had maybe half a cup of water in the tub. I tried putting more in, but it just spun it out and kept trying to wash with that tiny amount of water. You couldn't 'program it' to do anything else! After frustration levels rose with the damned contraption, I finally called the company and had them take it back. I replaced it with an old Whirlpool from the late 1990s. I'm much happier now, as are my clothes. Lesson learned. Old school all the way!

New ones, dont wash clothes . Just spin them.

You didn't have to do this but you did and have saved thousands of dollars for us middle class getting screwed. My washer said thank you. God bless America

I b**** about this all the time to my husband that you can't fill it up,... I like my clothes like you described .but I have a problem about when something's really dirty. I want to have extra water in the rinse. I add something to the load to make more water come out because I believe it's going by weight.
