@@shellsdbnsherryl it works! If you’re worried get some gel type rooting hormone. If you use the rooting hormone, give it a few days before watering. If you don’t use the rooting hormone, I’d guess watering every 3 days should be good if you’re in the hot part of AZ

That’s so cool! A couple of mine are from my grandmothers yard. They were my first. Plumerias do have a few cactus cousins and they don’t like to be drenched. Many can even go quite a while without water.

Seeds take a longer time to flower and some may never flower. At the same point if a seedling flowers it’s not guaranteed to be the same as the parent plant and may even be the only flower like that in the world. Cuttings will flower sooner but generally have wrecker root systems compared to a seed started plant.

Hey, thanks for the comment! So there are a few things to consider. Yes, in fundamental terms you can buy down a rate for the term of the loan, this is referred to as "paying a point." Buying enough points to buy down 3-4% in interest isn't typically done because your payment would usually be lower by applying that much to your down payment and offsetting your loan to value. Some banks offer a short-term way to buy down 3% of the rate. People who use this will want to refinance when rates drop. Are you referring to the Mt. Washington location? If so, that is my favorite too. You just can't beat the feeling of that space, it's so special and feels like you are light-years away from the city you are in the middle of.

That's a great question. Typically, outdoor improvements rank a bit lower regarding their ROI. One thing to consider that separates outdoor projects from the kitchen example is the commonality of use. Not everyone likes to sit outdoors and most people tend to use their kitchens frequently. Although a yard may be large enough it is common for people to have a different idea of what the ideal use of the space should be. The kitchen has a more frequent and consistent use across lifestyles.

hey sorry for the delayed response! no grandma just stuck the cuttings in the dirt which works great for these. I mostly use clonex if I got a great cutting that I want to make sure roots properly.

If you're having that issue you may have your new cutting in too much sun. I like to leave the elafs on there because it will often tell me whats happening below the soil without pulling on the cutting.

I know right? The storm a couple weeks ago knocked my umbrella over and broke off two branches, no big, got two new Aztec Golds!

Hey Christine! From my experience, it really depends on your soil and time of year. You're right, you totally can get root rot if you're not careful. From my personal experience giving them more water during the late spring and summer helps get them going. If you have root rot from that, water less often, add more pearlite to your soil or even try a blend of just pearlite and coconut choir. If that still is creating a problem, you could also try misting it a couple times a week to provide the water for growth.

You should totally ask! The orange ones can be very rare, at least in Southern California. Do you have a cutting or some seeds that you could offer as a trade?

Hey I appreciate you pointing that out, there were definitely more listings and you're right if you look at the entire MLS including all property types and every zip code in Carlsbad, there sure are more. This video focused on one zip code and one property type. This video used data from the MLS for the day of recording unfortunately, I did not have access to future data.
