@ I’ve been waiting for that 6ARC video so long I gained some of that weight 🤣. I ended up buying a 6ARC BCA upper(I know bca bad ahhh) my thought process was I liked the side charging set up so if was shooting terrible I’d just change the barrel. Surprisingly enough the damn thing started firing amazing after exactly 40rounds. Dead on grouping at 100yds. Now I’m wondering if I should get the new barrel anyways just in case.

@quickdraw1921 I’m sorry about that! Just been crazy busy. I heard great things about the BCA 6arc uppers. I would just use it until it gives you a reason to order a different barrel

@@kilo1official im heading back to the range this week to put some more rounds through it to see if that was a fluke, im also looking for a nice long distance scope to start hunting and some serious long distance shooting.

@kilo1official My experience with 1911's goes back to the early 1970's. I build, shoot, and gunsmith them . I have built more than 30 of them through the years. Springfield Armory uses a 13 pound recoil spring in the 4 1/4" Prodigy. If yours was 12 pound, it was the wrong spring. I believe 8 pound is WAY too light for a recoil spring, but, hey, it's your pistol. I would be worried about battering my frame and slide to death with so light of a recoil spring. And you mentioned the firing pin spring, which you seemed to indicate helped solve the potential for light primer strikes . Perhaps I misunderstood you, but the firing pin spring would have no effect on that. It's only 2 functions is to A) return the pin to an at rest state, and to help guard against unintentional discharges through dropping the pistol. For my money, a 17 pound main spring is too light...I personally advise no lighter than 19 pound. But if it's working for you, then that's what matters. I would be shocked to find too much Cerakote causing your failures to RTB. It's almost always the slide dragging over the disconnector that causes the issue. If it always occurred in the exact same spot with a light bump all that was needed to get the slide into battery, your slide was hanging on the disconnector. It's a known friction point, and it's not entirely uncommon. My wife and I own 3 early production Prodigies, (2 Commander lengths and a Government length), and the Cerakote hasn't been an issue with any of them. But, perhaps yours was an outlier. My man, Hilton Yam at 10-8 Performance did an EXCELLENT series on the Prodigy when it was released. (TH-cam) You might enjoy watching them, if you haven't already. I use Atlas flat triggers in ours, and I really like them too. If yours runs great now, that's what counts!

Absolutely! I have a few, my box didn’t come with a taper cap to push the suppressor out so it would fit with having the handguard pretty close to the barrel. I just received it from sig at no cost. I’ll have a new short up here soon, showing it with a suppressor. Also will be picking up a dedicated suppressor for the rattler here soon.

I’m not entirely sure how that safety works. It might be for the disconnector on the trigger sear but mine is a bit stiff as well. I think it’s pretty common with these rifles
