My custom leather apron from Dragonfly Woodworking & Leather
Hey guys, my name is Elliot and welcome to my channel
This is an in-depth review of my custom leather apron made by Dragonfly Woodworking & Leather.
I work as a goldsmith (my day job) and everyday I wear an apron in my shop, same goes for when I’m in my garage woodworking so I’m used to wearing one. Not only does an apron keep your clothes clean but also provides a layer of protection and holds some of your most used tools.
My first apron was made by my awesome mom out of denim and it worked pretty well, for the time being.
It had strategically placed pockets to hold specific tools, but I learned in time that my first guess at placement wasn’t perfect.
After about 3 years, that well loved denim apron was covered in holes and literally falling apart at the seams.
For my birthday, my darling wife wanted to get me a new custom leather apron I saw Jay Bates reviewing on his channel = th-cam.com/video/O4vYz61osQc/w-d-xo.html
I contacted Michelle & Patrick at Dragonfly Woodworking & Leather and they sent me a canvas test apron to mark all the locations of my tool holders and pockets.
The experience was equal parts fun and tortuous because I really wanted to get it right the first time and not change my mind months later.
Once I finally quit obsessing over it, I sent my test apron back to them and they proceeded to build it to my specs.

Welcome to my first of hopefully many woodworking videos. I've been woodworking as a hobby for close to 3 years now and would love to share some of my pieces. A big thanks to all the other youtube woodworkers/makers out there for inspiring me to get into making and sharing knowledge!
