Like other musicians around the world, I find myself socially distancing at home right now. Though I’ve missed performing for others, it has been wonderful to get to spend some quality time with my somewhat new Leizinger Model I bassoon (I’ve had it since September 2019), reading beautiful music just for fun! This is a video of Bach Cello Suite 1 BWV 1007, Menuet I-II, recorded from my home in ...

Exelente felicitaciones ❤
so encouraging and inspiring enough to remind me of the days when I devoted myself to music, bassoon playing in the band program of my univesity. thank you so much. どうもありがとうございます♪
Damn this is great
I LOVE THIS MASTER PIECE, my private teacher and I are playing this but instead of using a cello we're using bassoons
omg we're like the reverse! i'm playing this as a duet with two cellos!!
Hermoso♥️♥️♥️y especial❤❤❤
I love the music of Fasch, so classy and giving Telemann a good run for his money. Great job ladies!! Cheers
Nanci, what a lovely sound you have. Thank you for sharing your artistry. Your accompanist is wonderful as well. I perform this piece as a transcription on the euphonium.

Just lovely, one of my favorite instrument sounds, soooo soothing.

Menuett 2 suits the bassoon especially well
Ahhh, music for the heart and soul.
Bello sonido.
Great job, Nanci! Cool piece!
Gorgeous! Thank you for the wonderful music.
Wonderful! I would like it even more if I could see the bassoon, that is if it were not hidden behind the music stand. Hopefully next time.
👍👍👍👍👍
How come in the first and third movements you use so much ornamentation? The sheet music itself is rather bland due to how slow it's meant to be played and I also realize that this piece is played with a lot of instrumentation de facto as I was told by my teacher, but how come there is so much? That being said, it does add a lot to the piece as a whole. Also, is there a uniformally agreed instrumentation for the piece or do you make your own?
So to try and answer your questions, it’s baroque so ornamentation is very exaggerated. As for instrumentation, bassoon and piano isn’t how it was written, the keyboard part was a harpsichord and it’s also played with basso continuo (cello)
@@nyancs7098 I understand this, I think what I was asking was whether there is an agreed ornamentation or is it more laissez-faire?
@@cameronburnard2301 when I’ve played it I add ornamentation in places I want as most scores won’t include much ornamentation but it could be different in this case
@@cameronburnard2301ornamentation in baroque music is very much down to the performer.
Beautifull Performance and very nice Sound! Bravo!!

Bonjour. Cette pièce pour basson est originale et demande un grand travail et beaucoup de recherche . Bravo à cette bassoniste qui se déjouée des nombreux pièges écrit par le compositeur. Enfin c' est la première fois que j' entend cette composition.
