Has any one found out why does the dragon fly nymphs has small wings on their backs. What are they use for. This may be a good evidence on how wings evolve in dragon flies, if they have a purpose. I mean, it is logical to think they are there so that when they develop into dragonflies this is the area where the wings will be made. But what if it does have a purpose.
