Breeze Block DIY | Casting Concrete
Casting Concrete Breeze Blocks Using Pacific Mold Design Molds.
Our take on casting breeze blocks at home using store bought concrete mix. In this video, we used WD-40 as a release agent, but you can use cooking spray as a less caustic release.
Materials list is at the end of the clip.

    • @PacificMoldDesign
      @PacificMoldDesign 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We do this when molds have a lot of detail or spaces that could create pockets of air. Load up with a thinner mix of material and slush around to coat the walls of the mold. We then backfill with a thicker mix to speed up the casting process.

    What is the thickest plastic sheet vaccum forming can handle?

    • @PacificMoldDesign
      @PacificMoldDesign ปีที่แล้ว

      That really depends on the type of plastics being used and type of machine. For example, some machines have smaller heating elements which handles thinner/lower temp materials. Think about RC car bodies, plastic containers ect. Other industries that make things like hot tubs will need a larger unit with a massive heating element, vacuum chambers and pumps.

    I just received my 2 skull molds, they came with no directions/tips at all, and i cant wait to start making some! I have a question about using the latex vs just wax as a release agent, the latex seems like an extra step, why do it at all

    • @PacificMoldDesign
      @PacificMoldDesign 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Our phone, email and all forms of messenger are available to you. Instruction manuals are useless when you consider the many ways to approach a project. What material are you wanting to cast? I assume foam? If this is the case, please do a partial test. ABS is rather porous and foam tends to stick to the molds.

      @kell2resq 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi thanks for your replies, I bought the 2 part fence post foam and the bond builder latex shown in this video, I was unable to find any wax release, yours is sold out, which is the route I wanted to take, seemed like the latex was a more time consuming step, is there pros to using latex vs wax?
