My first video of 2024! I have a few more that I intend to put out in the upcoming months, and I think this story, written by The Buried Truck, was a good way to get back into video making. After a week with no new video, I've got another one ready! As I said, these will become less frequent as I have a full-time job now. That being said, I will try to post whenever I have free time. I wasn't entirely aware of just how many liberties Johnny Morris took with his narrations outside of merely adding his own sound effects. A few portions of the original story were cut out, and given that I used the book version for reference, I ended up filming a few clips that I regrettably never got to use. Despite this, I'm fairly pleased with the final product. I hope you enjoy it as well.

Being an adaptation of an annual story, this video is a bit on the shorter side. However, I've wanted to try my own spin on this tale for a while. This video took a while to film, primarily due to a lack of motivation to complete it. I ultimately pushed myself to finish and the results turned out fairly decent, for what it's worth.

I decided to make this adaptation in a way that, while still very reminiscent of season 2, was a bit more faithful to Awdry's original vision insofar as not having Bill and Ben replace the Other Railway engines (in this case Jinty and Pug), and having the infamous accident take place at Thomas' harbor, rather than the one near the big station. The engine (ghost) displayed a major flaw of communication. If you only say "where is it" without specifying, the person won't know the hell you're talking about. They can't just read your mind. Even if you think they already know, say what the "it" is anyways. It keeps the conversation flowing and a better communication
