Colour Blind Awareness
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 21 ม.ค. 2015
Colour Blind Awareness is a non-profit organisation which raises awareness of the needs of colour blind people world wide.
1 in 12 men and 1 in 200 women have some form of colour blindness (colour vision deficiency) so there are almost 3 million colour blind people in the UK and approximately 320 million people worldwide.
Colour blind people can have problems every day and anywhere including - at school, playing and watching sport, at work, shopping and accessing information, especially on the internet. We aim to raise awareness of all the problems colour blindness can cause and offer advice to businesses, schools, parents and of course, to colour blind people themselves. Find out more at www.colourblindawareness.org and follow our social media accounts Twitter @colourblindorg and Facebook Colour-Blind-Awareness-164295340292600/

Thanks for speaking out about these things. It is much appreciated. But what about people with blue-yellow colourblindness?
😅 Promo'SM
Hvordan kan man ik genkende hans stemme…😂🙈🤍💙det er så nemt….🤪
In hockey, the away team always wears white. It makes it much easier.
As a colourblind person (strong proton), I consider the solution is to use very contrasting colours for opposing teams. Black v white. Yellow v dark blue. Red v white. But don't have Orange v yellow, Orange v green, blue v pink, black v red. Don't have footballs covered in splashes of colour - just white with a few basic black marks (maybe). To be honest, kits of green, orange and some shades of red against the grass is difficult enough.

he is portugese?
Must explain why Renato sanchez passed to an advertising board

That was well spoken 🙂
So, suppose Carvalho had protanopia, and he was playing for the Portugal NT, if the opposite team wore blue, would it confuse him when he has to pass the ball?
yeah basically
I doubt it, blue prob looks different
Nope for him the blue would look more black
As a soccer player with protanopia this was fun to see😂this is why spatial awareness is key🤟🏽

surely whatever colour they have been taught they have always known a green is a blue ygm
I wish Football actually considered colorblind people when they show a match on TV and the teams have similar color kits. 😔
What are they supposed to do?
@@zorenwhite7886 only allow teams to wear black and white kits in a match i suppose? Come on, yes maybe its not great for colorblind people. Okay yes. But most matches dont have similar colors.
@user-ve1xv1ve9d you'd be surprised. Unless you are colorblind, ot is not applicable pal. They could at least consider slip on bands over their shirts. It's not like they don't do this when someone passes on etc
maybe raising the awareness to taa🤣
as somebody who played a lot growing up with blue cone monochromacy this is cool to see other people experiencing colorblindness in some form

The Canadian hockey system of always having the away team where white works best (unless of course the home team's colour is white).
This is why having alternative uniforms in so important.
don't think it's why, also you don't do that because of 1 colorblind person
The reason comes from the old days where there only was black and white tv so they made alternative uniforms so you could see the differences
Is a good video Tanks for the information 🧐🍷
Okey, okey... So you don't give any ideas on how to help the situation, you just "fire shots" to people that aren't color blind like: "you don't care, but I do". Listen, I clicked on your video because I care and I am willing to help, but you gave us only statistics, and at the last 20 seconds an "advice" for the equipment. If that was your intention then you accomplish it.
Thanks for caring - this is simply an introductory animation created for the English Football Association for social media. See also The Colourful Game video in our Sports playlist and the resources on the Colour Blind Awareness website www.colourblindawareness.org/colour-blindness-and-sport/guidance-documents/ Thanks again
The idea is try not to use similar colors (e.g., red and green) for the uniforms.
In their website (TH-cam doesn't allow one to link in comments) they state: "In sport we are world leaders. We created the first ever guidance for colour blindness in any sport for UEFA /the English Football Association in 2017. We also worked closely with World Rugby to deliver their guidance on colour blindness in 2021. "
Thankkkkkyou
2 things. Having 2 sets of subtitles is very distractin and also scrolling subtitles? Makes it almost impossible, why not regular subtitles and just 1 set?
You can turn one set of subtitles off.
As a color blind person i have been discriminated at my work place. I didn't know i have color deficiency till i joined work and that was my first job. I was humuliated and force to match colors as that is part of my job. It was a night mayor and i wish people understand that it is not something we can correct.
The United Nations' Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities prohibits that. If your country is party to it, you might be entitled to take legal action. At the very least, it may be worth pointing out as others may then stand up for you too.
@@Ggdivhjkjl life is not that easy in this side of the world my friend. Money controls everything.
Why oh why aren't all children checked as a matter of course as soon as they start school. The processes can be put in place straight away to help them cope. Otherwise they are handicapped and fall behind.
There are lots of medical conditions. From the schools' perspective, checking for every medical condition simply isn't possible. But education has always been primarily the responsibility of parents. As such, it is the duty of parents to check for this just as it is for any other medical condition. Schools may be willing to help at times but it can't be expected when teachers already have so much other work to do.
Excellent! I'm trying to raise awareness in the US with my site: colorblindguy.com I'm going to embed this great movie.
Most relatable video I've seen in a long time!
As a colorblind person who had to deal with uneducated teachers for most of my school years, this really hits home for me. Often times, I would tell a teacher that I am color disabled, and they wouldn't know what to do because they didn't really know what it meant to be "Colorblind".
Are you still in school mate? It helps to give teachers positive instructions, i.e. tell them how they CAN help you rather than what doesn't work for you. In regards to blackboards, I used to say, "Write in any colour other than red." For graphs, tell your teachers to make them with stripes or dots along with colours to help you tell them apart. If they're pre-existing images, say that you know HOW to do the task but can't because the colours look the same to you, then ask if they can tell you the colours as you point at them while you write down what they are. In sport, make sure your team knows that you're colourblind so that they'll vouch for you if you need to mention a problem. People find solutions a lot faster when they have to deal with a whole team instead of just 1 person :)
