That's not stale gas thats urine! Always cringe to see wire used to clean a jet, I use bamboo BBQ scewer they can be reshaped on the grinder yada yada yada... I know it's probably fine but what do I know i'm just a back-yard machanic and i got no certs, made no videos and I'll stop talkin now.

On the Honda engines in particular,it pays to remove the whole carburettor then remove the emulsion tube as well as thoroughly cleaning out the passages for the low speed jet as well as the main jet. I have had to do that to my dads Honda GSV190 powered lawnmower engine to stop it from surging & to even idle once it got that bad !

Was more looking for a fix.

all wrong mine was the diaphragm was weak

Poor advice, you forgot to flush the oil and fuel

If you pull the start cord just until it’s hard to pull then you should be good to tip ,because the valves are in a position in which oil can flow .

How bout running some Seafoam through a tank and see if fixed before tearing carb apart?!

I changed the carburetor and lines but still had the surging issue. then I realized I have not changed the blade and was thinking maybe the imbalance of the blade rotation might cause a surge. Once I Changed the blade with a new blade the surge went away. Just another thing to check because most how to video always suggest its the carburetor issue
