    Sir, I have a question. If curve of spee help to disclude posterior teeth in natural dentition, why we need curve of spee in complete denture? Won't it disclude posterior teeth in denture? Why curve of spee in denture cause posterior tooth contact but cause posterior disclusion in natural teeth?

    • @akshaybhandarisdentalvideo6452
      @akshaybhandarisdentalvideo6452 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because in denture we need balanced occlusion..we don't need posterior disclusion in complete denture patients as it leads to loss of stability of denture bases..curve of spee in denture when we incorporate is called as antero posterior curve.

    ok and what about group function? theres not a single advantage of canine vs group function nor in dentures nor in full arch bridges..if it is bridge then material on canine must be rly strong otherwise gonna chip..in dentures it creates Christensen phenomena which kills the need of compensating curves(spee and willson)..so again why do you think canine is preferred?

    • @akshaybhandarisdentalvideo6452
      @akshaybhandarisdentalvideo6452 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In dentures canine guided occlusion is never preferred because it's always has to be bilateral balanced occlusion

    • @zokikostadinov3303
      @zokikostadinov3303 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@akshaybhandarisdentalvideo6452 for dentures either Lingualized or again Unilateral eg Group function.. Bilateral balanced is to trick for every day and not all patients have indications for Bulateral one ..tricky bcz you need everything from face bow chewing, pattern and x3 more time to setup it correctly bcz if is not set correctly then u gonna have tons of problems .. my question was about fixed restorations .. EG lingualized is not practical for fixed bcz it is hard to build in Ceramics digitally it is easy but it lacks in aesthetics .. Group unilateral setup digitally or build in porcelain is not hard ..it is most functional one bcz stress is distributed from canine all the way to the last molar and aesthetically is the best looking one bcz you build canine slightly smaller and it does not have any contraindications ... on other hand Canine guided one is the easiest one to build both digitally and analogny but you need to watch on more things ..1 is material and its resistance bcz u can end up with broken crown ..if it is veneer you must make sure that palatal side have good amount of enamel bcz veneers dont like flexible dentine beneath them ...you cant have aestheticly good looking canine guidance of canine on the mandibula is abraded(you need to compensate for abraded part with your crown and u gonna end up with vampire canine ..and so on ... so after you look at everything a bit more deeper do you still think that Canine guided scheme have any advantages over Unilateral eg Group guided scheme ? : )
