Rust Malware Development - Basic C2 Encoding with XOR
มุมมอง 4474 หลายเดือนก่อน
You don't want to send your commands over the net in cleartext, so it's important to obfuscate the traffic somewhat. In this video, I walk through one of the easiest ways to encode your C2 traffic: XOR encoding. Yes, this malware is simple and broken, and is very likely to get caught. If you stick around long enough, we will get to the fun stuff! Follow me on Twitter: @valhalla_dev ...

Golang is awful. Tried it for a few months a year ago. Absolutely terrible error management and type management. Only features I liked were easy async goroutines and extensible structs. But what a mess my code became very quickly with all the if err != nil junk. Very unsafe. And I DESPISE pgx!!! What a monstrosity. Rust won me over immediately. In spite of its 100x slower compile times, it's far better in the long term, types more usable and understandable, and maybe the compile times will eventually be fixed with better caching of already compiled, unchanged crates. Only other thing I don't like about Rust is the monstrosity of converting between OS- and non-OS- String types, but after a year in Rust, it's getting easier.
For a CS student like me, I have finally tried to code in Rust with different AI tools because I've heard lots of good things about Rust, but the journey is not going well.... I have simply asked different AI tools, including Chatgpt, cursor, even Deep seek, to use calamine to read a xlsx file and print out the value row by row. Sounded easy, right? Well, all AI tools just faking different function call, and none of them can fix the problem, finally Deep seek after I show it the github page of calamine, it start giving me some valid response, but it went crazy again just after a couple prompts.
Thank you for free web scraping course that looks pretty comprehensive.
This was very informative and helpful thanks mate
I don’t understand why you wouldn’t just use sockets
when you try to make malware but don’t know how to send data on the internet in any other protocol other than HTTP through a pre-made library: this
when you only have the attention span to watch a short and not the multiple videos on my channel that explains this exact point: this

No 192.168 is only assigned to your router not the internet
you have no idea what you’re talking about, that’s an internal IP address that reveals nothing about the machine
I used flask with waitress and fast api and made 10 000 get requests in loop flask was faster to finish all this request faster, fast api just uses up to much CPU
I have a question, was trying to write benign server to collect info about clients written in c++ or even rust that will be logged into a database running fastapi and postgres
could always use Teamspeak
Very cool
Great analysis, thank you! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
question - do you write malware for malicious purposes or research purposes?
research!
Lost me at python, why not learn c++ or something similar cause at the end of the day you want something like c++ it's literally the foundation
thank you man, you really saved me
Hey Mitch please reply me :- I wanna ask can you make a proper roadmap or make your own playlist to develop malware from basic to an advance level (you already have one but i want a new one) for android/windows/or any other os . I wanna built pegasus, mirai type shits !!Please guide me buddy !!
Can bitcoin malware still mine without the infected computer being disconnected with internet
Man this is cool
Hey there, I just wanted to say that I like this video! I dont know how keen you are on continuing this series (as you stated that you wanted to do a larger video on buttons in bevy in general), but if you do: would you be so kind and zoom out your editor a tiny bit? Id love to see some more of the code. Also, can you explain the behaviour of the Node-System in general? Im currently struggling a bit with how the interactivity comes into play in general with bevy (with the UI that is. The ECS etc are familia by now).
great work man
All crypters get detected all publically available one 😂
If you have just one employee you dont need to automate HR. Also make your contracts so easy you dont need laywers. No need to automate something you dont have a need for.
I been feeding my chatgpt so much cybersecurity info over last two years that it now gives me these crazy payloads for lab testing. It's a great assistant
"Let's build a payload to embedd in an image that will allow us to take control of the device "
Creating a payload embedded within an image to take control of a device is a form of steganography often combined with malware or exploit techniques. This concept, when used ethically, is for penetration testing in controlled environments. Here's how you can approach it:
Good idea, i’ve been using rust for one month now, do you have any resources related to rust and maldev ?
Very nice! I’ll add the custom voice model soon.
does windows defender have hard time detecting malware written in rust?

Have you tried Claude "projects" ? I just recently got my hands on a pro account and tried those, the ability to add multiple files / conversations to context is soooo good, i wish i had a reliable way to get pas his straight-edge anti-malware attitude...
