as a Caps fan especially in 1996 he gave me a scare down my spine whenever Dynamos were given a corner kick. I remember in the 1996 Castle Cup semi-final between Caps and Dynamos at the NSS .We had beaten Dynamos 2-0 a fortnight before in a Rufaro Marketing Cup then in the CASTLE CUP semis Stewart Murisa thrust Caps in the lead when Dynamos new goalie Gift Muzadzi fumbled the ball into the net then came Makwinji as a 2nd half substitute then new signing substitute Tonderai Mutambikwa(former Caps player) crossed and 10 mins before fulltime Makwinji unleashed a powerful header past Caps goalie George Mudiwa .then went to extra time then 2 mins into extra time haunted us again with another header and we bowed out as Dynamos parked the bus in their defence and went all the way into the final against Zimbabwe Saints and clinched the cup. Makwinji was the top goalscorer that season 1996 and most of his goals were from headers
