Hi, waiting for part 12!!
It will be coming soon. I plan on doing some more work on it very soon.
Hi great video! I know it has been a long time since, but I was wondering if you still have the seats for sale, mine are broken, especially the passengers seat :/
Sadly not. I sold them a while ago. Keep an eye out on eBay or Facebook marketplace. The do pop up from time to time. There is also mk2 spares. Matt Palmer. Top bloke. Worth a try.
My master 111 has the same problem, ill buy the complete kit and do everything at once, I've learned that just replacing some of the pieces wont make it as good as new, thanks for the video it helped me
Randomly stumbled on these video's today, I'm the guy you bought the 8v from. Saw you in Chepstow earlier today. You have done a great job with it, so impressed. Regret selling it so much, but glad it was to some one who uses it. Keep the videos coming.👍
Hello mate, only just seen this message. The 8v is doing well. I've put alot of work into it now. I kept the 8v engine in it in the end. Good to hear from you 👍
Looked like a good day!
It's a good group of like minded people. I recommend it 👍
Que dia legal amigo, Parabéns aos VW e o vídeo!
Thank you 👍
Awesome vids, picking up some great info, thank you! 1 question what driveshafts are you using?
Thanks, I'm just using the standard mk2 driveshafts they bolt straight into the MK3 vr6 gearbox.
Hello, will it work with the original ECU?
Yes it certainly will. You have to get it unlocked and immobilizer removed.
I just bought some domestic rubber door draught sealer and stuck it on top of the existing rubber seal of the vivaro "gutter " and also along bonnet edge ( after clearing out the vivaro drain sys )
Disculpa que numero de banda fue la que utilizaste, para poder quitar el compresor del aire acondicionado
Excelente carro esse Golf, eu tenho um GOL 1.6 CL CHT álcool 92, gosto muito desse Volkswagen!
You don't happen to have a link to the 3d printed surround for the shifter? Exactly what im after for mine
vw_dave@hotmail.Co.uk he is your man 👍
That’s my shifter spacer! 😄
Hi there mate can I please have the number of the Guy that did the wiring loom please
Yea sure contact William at Dub Nutz 07973 118748
Hi mate I’m just wondering what gear selector and cables you used
Nice work mate 👌👌
Brilliant fix! Not being much good at DIY, I employed a roofer to fix the guttering for me, and he only charged £350 + parts!
I’ve seen 2 of the Concordes so far, the G-BOAB at Heathrow and the 2nd Concorde at Duxford
Maybe turn it into a dirt track car? It has the look for it
good video Thanks
Hey man.i bought a Golf C 1.3l tour edition. The car has 3 Doors. Is it true that these cars are getting rare? My car has 71000 km (43k miles)
Please do a video on connecting coolant pipes and which pipes you cancelled so your coolant system could function
Will do as soon as I can. I have been busy with other things and not got round to that yet. New video coming soon hopefully 👍
😂😂😂😂
Jetronic? What do the throttle switches do?
Thanks for this - 👍
Good job 👍
Big milestone! Well done.
Holy crap how good is that dash? Mine is cracked like a dry river bed
Really enjoying this series! Have an Aussie 4dr mk2 GTI 8v with an R32 engine + O2M standing by for a swap. Thanks for sharing your progress.
Hello mate. Great video. I've been trying to work out how to replace that lower roller on my 67 trafic... How do you get the inner door trim off? Mine has clips that just snap, am I missing something? Cheers.
Gobshite
Nice❤
Is that oak green one… is it a metallic looking paint close up can’t see on camera if so it might throw up the colours mine did when it was in front of a hps sodium light the orange light turned it green and purple not sure if it was green on the sides and purple roof but it looked good
Looks good you gonna love the vr once everything is finally done
I can't wait to get it running 👍
Sweet 8v! I have one as a daily driver. Would like to see any videos you make while working on that one too. Cheers!
Cheers man yea it's a decent 8v to be fair. It's a 2.0 bottom.end from an Audi 80. Big valve head, polished and ported. Kent fast road cam. If you look back through my videos there are some of the car in there 👍 needs a little bit of work to get it 100%
102k rly? hahahahaha i have jetta over 700k =D
Yes it's spent more time off the road 🤣 wow 700k must be the highest mileage mk2?
Azev A ❤
Looking forward to seeing the engine in the car. I am doing the same swap next year on a Corrado so interesting to see how to put the more modern engine in an earlier car.
Genius ! i need to do the same :D thx mate !
Glad to help. I couldn't find a video for this anywhere so decided to make my own 👍
When will you go next? Because you can ask the staff to bring back some of the original audio to the trenches
Poor car, deffo didn’t deserve to be treated that way 😢
It was crashed in 2003 and then parked up and robbed of parts over the years.. I managed to save it 👍
@@danrobinson6858 I’m looking forward to watching the process!
It's next in line after I've finished the silver one 👍
@@danrobinson6858track day / stripped out road racer or restoration ?
@@Rumpleforeskin77 it's going to be a stripped out road / racer. I've got a 20vt bam conversion to go into it. A full on restoration would be way too much work as it's in such a state and missing alot of the original parts. Original engine is also seized. Going to make it solid and have some fun with it. 👍
Love the channel! Just changed the belt and my timing is off, thought I'd come back to this vid to see if there's anything I'm missing. Going to check the distributor angle shortly but is there anything else that could be throwing off my timing? Keep up the good work! 👍
Make sure all the timing marks line up after rotating the engine by hand. Other than that you might have to do your ignition timing with a timing gun.
Niiiice, good job 👍
Hey I dunno if you saw my other comment. Have you done the coolant sensors? Efi cars have the fuel map dependent on coolant temp. If the sensor isn't reading the cooler temps it'll do this.
Yes I've tried that as well. Makes no difference. I've replaced it with a new one and tried 3 different ones.
@@danrobinson6858 wow! I like the thoroughness! So what's a list of what you've done?
I've tested the throttle position switches they are ok and working, I've tested the blue coolant temp sensor and tried 3 different ones. I have tried replacement maf. Tested isv and tried 3 different ones. It doesn't do it if I unplug any of the items I've listed above not including the maf. It only does it during the warm up cycle once warm it's fine. Could be an ECU issue or wiring? If I retard the ignition timing it doesn't do it but then it's gutless. Really bugging me and struggling to find what it is. Could also be an air leak from the manifold? Or issue with the isv pipes? Need to spend a day on it and check everything again.
@@danrobinson6858 what about the 02 sensor? I believe that thing had a resettable button somewhere? But those systems are pretty dependent on that sensor.
@@vr6prodigy UK cars done have that. I'm going to remove the throttle body and clean it out and check the butterfly valves. I will get to the bottom of it! I've also ordered a new pcv breather.
Such a cool project! Thanks for letting us know just how much work you’ve put into it. You make it look easy, but there’s no doubt that you have been hard at work on it.
Thanks means alot
I've also got a 20v turbo conversion to do after this one.
Lots of great information for anyone who is wanting to do a swap. Keep it up! Cheers!
Nice one thanks 👍
I love these engines, always see them at steam fairs being used to do all kinds of things!
They make great exhausts. Cars looking Good keep it up
Thanks Jake, I will do. I have watched your videos. Great content 👍 I will continue to upload my progress.
What’s the bulbs called please
T5 Led 286 White Dashboard Xenon Car Bulbs
Idle air all day. Take it off and spray it out real good with some carb cleaner.
I have tried that. I have also tried 3 different isv's. I think it's either an air leak or something to do with the wiring? Strange it only does it during the cold start cycle. When warm it's ok.
@@danrobinson6858 yeah that's definitely weird. Where do you live? Anywhere near northeast NC? Lol
@@vr6prodigy yea it's a strange one. I need to spend more time on it try and figure it out. If I unplug the isv it doesn't do it. I have tested the isv it does open and buzz. I live in the UK 😂
@@danrobinson6858 dang! That's a bit out of my range hahaha. Try the coolant temp sensor? The 4 prong one I believe still holds the fuel map dependent stuff. If it's not reading the cooler end, it'll act up to it warms up.
Change coolant sensor
Nice looking exhaust system!
Move the water somewhere else, haha. Brilliantly fixed!
I've removed the scuttle and properly sealed it with silicone now. This was a joke to show how rubbish these vans are leaking water onto your injectors.
@@danrobinson6858 nicely done, mate! These vans are indeed poorly built.
