This looks awesome, :)
Glad you liked it! It's an amazing part of the world. 🙂
Another great video Warrick! We just had 8 nights on the Yorke Peninsula. Not much green around at this time of year. We loved the National Park.
It is amazing how the colours change with the seasons. 😊 You should find the Fleurieu Peninsula is much greener.
Beautiful footage with the drone.
Thanks Paul 👍 😊
Woomera. "Royal Air Force" ! Royal Australian Air Force ! Originally built to support UK development of atomic weapons and associated delivery mechanisms (including rockets) from 1946 (not 1947 as is generally reported) by the Australian Government. My father was security pass no 24 to the site. At its height it had some 6,000 men in the construction phase. My father was PA to the Project Director (A/SQNLDR Alan Douglas BOUCH DSO MBE MiD). Bouch recruited many of his ex-3 Airfield Construction Squadron members from the war to join him at Woomera. The vast remainder were ex-WW2 personnel at a loose end for some reason. Formed under the then Department of Supply it past through various Departments as they were formed, renamed, abolished, etc. The RAAF did not take over until 2015. Amongst my father's duties was to take photographs of the progress and I have seen a suitcase of his contact positive that he kept of the early days (1947 to 1952) when he left to go back to Adelaide to help with a growing family. For the 1947 Federal Election, my father was appointed returning officer. The first six women to arrive in Woomera were trucked from Pimba (the nearest railhead) to take up their accommodation and duties (as waitresses in the mess hall) - three married and three unmarried. They had to vote so appeared at the polling station - and my mother met my father for the first time. He mentioned to his friend (also manning the booth) that he was going to get a dance at with that woman and facing disbelief (after all there were 6,000 competitors !) a ten-bob bet was placed. My father won it! That election caused his flight to Canberra to report on why there were a number of Communist votes cast in that polling station; the actual Communist candidate having been refused permission to attend the top secret base to campaign so had to hold his "rally' at Pimba outside the area. Quite a few were trucked there (arranged by my father). He reported that it was impossible to tell who had voted Communist because it was a secret ballot (he was stating the obvious of course). My brother and I took our mother to Woomera for a visit courtesy of the RAAF in 2015 for ANZAC Day (my father had died some years before) and she may have just been the last survivor of the "construction crew". She placed a wreath at the local memorial at the Dawn Service. The RAAF gave us a guided tour across the site and to rangehead (it was about to be rebuilt so they did not give anything away). A most enjoyable visit. (Some of the prints show the construction of No1 hanger - still there. Apparently was still in use at it was the only electronically silent hanger that could accommodate up to C-30 Hercules aircraft completely for testing. Woomera is the largest rang in the world that is basically electronically silent for aircraft testing having been recently extended for monitoring out to as far as Broome some 2000 km) Have many more tails I can retell from my parents but that is enough for now...
Wow! That's an amazing family connection to a very special place in Australia. There are so many WW2 historic sites when travelling between Adelaide and Darwin. It never ceases to amaze me what our parents and grandparents endured and the sacrifices they made to ensure the peace we have enjoyed over the last 50+ year's. Thanks, Daniel, for sharing part of your amazing family history 🙂👌
Thanks for your help.
You're welcome!
Great work mate, awesome editing.
Thanks Tony 🙂
Great video Warwick, awesome drone video.
Thanks 👍
Hey warrick. Great video. I've been watching a few of your adventures. Just wondering how long have you guys been on the road now . And how much longer . We're planning on WA in 26 ..
Hey Paul, thanks for the compliment 🙂 Just approaching 1 year on the road with approximately 1 year to go. WA is awesome 👌
how were the mozzies???
They were present, but not excessively bad. Aeroguard kept them at bay☺️
What time of year did you make the trip?
Hey Paul. Early June. Beat the crowds and avoid school holidays. Highly recommended 👌
This is the second video of your travel I have wstched, very impressed with your photography and presentation.
Thanks Bruce. It's still a little amateur for my liking, but I think I'm improving. Thanks for the encouragement. Im glad you liked them. There is plenty more to come 🙂
Stunning drone footage , bringing back many memories .
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Looks amazing guys Did you sustain any damage to the caravan??
Thanks 🙂. No, no damage at all. The potential is great on such tracks, but if you take it slow, let your tyre pressures down a bit it does reduce the risk of damage to your vehicles significantly. 😊
@warrickbell that's great news We're off to the gibb next month so hoping the road is in some sort of reasonable condition What kind of speeds did you keep to?? Thanks
You'll have a great time 🙂 Our speed varied from 20 - 60. You don't want to be in any hurry. You want to be able to relax and enjoy the journey. Anything faster only runs the risk of damage and stress. Have fun 👍
Nice. So when can we expect part 3?
Thanks. Editing now for upload next week 🙂
Awesome footage Warrick and Donna. Its great to see above and below water images in the same location and I also love the acknowledgement of the wildflowers in the vid. Looks like a amazing journey 👌
@Moosey-n-Vanette thank you so much. We're slowly progressing on the quality of the content and am glad you can enjoy it. It's an amazing journey. I highly recommend it to anyone who has the opportunity 🙂
Came through this area 40 years ago, but never saw Windjana George from that perspective. This is excellent drone footage. What drone are you using? Thanks for the upload.
Thanks. It was a surprise when I saw what was on top of the range. I'm using the DJI mini 3 pro. I'm very impressed by it. 🙂
@@warrickbell thanks
👍💛
Thanks Robert 🙂
Excellent coverage, enjoyed, from a fellow Aussie that has never been there. (Yet).
Thanks, Bruce. It's definitely worth doing if and when you can 😊
Enjoyed that. Definitely going there next year.
Great, you won't regret it. It's an amazing place. 😊
Hi guys Where did you leave your caravan when you went into bells gorge Stay safe
We stayed at a beautiful free camp, approximately 39 km south called March fly Glen. Alternatively, you could stay at the Nap run Silent Grove, which is only 7 km away.
Can I ask if you think it would be feasible to travel with a well-behaved dog in that region? Our bloke loves travelling.
@michaelsecomb4115 You can, but you will be limited by not being able to enter National Parks.
How many ball bearings are in there do u know? One of ours come apart and I'm.not sure if I found all the bearings or not.
Hey Tara, there are 2 bearings, but they still work fine if you only have 1. 🙂
Magical place, you can feel it through the screen
Glad you liked it. 🙂
Stunning 😍
Thank you! Cheers!
Thanks Warrick. I also used some loctite on the screw with the spring washer. I had already lost some ball bearings and had some damaged springs but was able to purchase suitable replacements on ebay. I purchased 4mm stainless steel ball bearings and springs 10mm long with an outer diameter of 3mm, and a wire diameter of 0.5mm.
Well done. I was thinking of adding the loctite also. Well done sourcing the bearings and wire for the springs 🙂
Brilliant video, the whale shark is amazing 😍
Thanks. It's well worth the experience if you get a chance and are able 🙂
Great drone footage, it was so windy when we were there it was too risky to send ours out 😉
Thanks. Agreed, It is very difficult in WA for drone footage due to the wind. 🙂👍
Beautiful
So loving it, Jenny 😍
❤❤❤ very nice 😍 video
Thanks 🤗
Good set up and a very beautiful place 👍
Totally agree 🙂👍
A great spot, no matter what the "woke brigade" says - My indigenous mate told me that was the name when I asked ... staggering nice, and they grow very slowly. Black Boys will always be part of WA...
Shame about your woefully irritating choice of music for this video. You were game flying your drone so close to those tree tops, well done. My last tree top adventure ended in a $400 cherry picker bill LOL. Sorry, I'm outta here, that music arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!
Thanks for the feedback. I'll try and improve my music selection 😊
Stunning!! I love the underwater footage!
Thanks Debbie 😊
Wow!! You are great on your drone!!! Love that little Quenda ❤ Amazing video Enjoy WA
Thanks so much, will do.
Great video, we hope you both enjoyed Esperance, our paradise, our home.🙂
Thank you. It's an amazing part of Australia 😊
Beautiful area thank you. Some great footage.
Thanks Ronald 😊
Good presentation.@@warrickbell
Thanks Mate! That helped a lot!
Pleasure 😊
Wow looks awesome, was the water cold? 😁
Wasn't too bad. Around 21°c 😊
@@warrickbell 7°c too cold for me then 😂
Thanks for sharing it.
Pleasure Jenny 😊
We live in an amazing country.
💯
It looks amazing, Warrick.
Thanks Jenny 😊
Looks amazing!!!!!
