This lively Buddhist parade was held in Suginami-ku, Tokyo on Sun. Oct. 18, 2009 in memory of the thirteenth-century Japanese Buddhist priest Nichiren and Founder Nikkyo Niwano of Rissho Kosei-kai who devoted their lives to sharing the Dharma through the Lotus Sutra and passed away in October. IBC is a multinational group including Vietnam, Cambodia, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.

It is very refreshing to finally come across a Westerner, who seems to have an actual appreciation for the Dharma and a respect for sutras - not just the texts of White hippies.
Thanks for the lecture. Without doubt, thus as I heard, the lotus sutra is indeed the essence of buddha intend. As mentioned in Chapter 16 - "This is my constant thought: how I can cause all living beings to gain entry to the highest Way and quickly attain Buddhahood."
