Loved the video! As far as content driven by subject matter experts, do you think this could be applied to the B2C market, specifically in social media? I do short content scripts for plastic surgeons, and I feel that without a structure to capture and retain attention and letting the surgeon simply speak based on their expertise could bore the audience even with an interesting topic. Do you think I'm wrong?
Great question - absolutely this applies the same way. If the surgeon is speaking to someone non-technical, then it's the marketer's job to make sure that the surgeon is communicating in terms that they understand. When we do content, we like to shoot it in one go, but make sure it can be sliced up to be suitable for the different levels of knowledge that someone may want to go into So shoot with a longer form content (so as not to bother the surgeon too often), and structure the conversation so higher level 'highlights' can be extracted from it - but for the people who want to go deeper - they can watch the long form version. Takes a bit more planning of the script in advance but is well worth it in time saved for everyone
