You might want to look at a treehopper recon. Better than what you have rigged up here. There's a thread on the forum about rigging that with an elastic bridge as well that's worth looking at.

Thats awesome, Jordan! I've been using an Anderson tree sling since 1984. My wife bought it for me. I bought an ESS back in February. They do look a mess, you just have to make em fit you. They are a one size fit all! Good to hear your success the past year, too. Hope you will show a climb and setup video, too! Ive been practicing the JRB Tree Climbing techniques. Really like it alot. Have you ever used on a pine tree? Here in south Ga they about the only choice of tree. Wondering if they will be too noisy.
Unfortunately, I have not. There is one that I've been meaning to hunt for some years. If I get to it this season, I can give you an update. Do the pines you hunt have a flaky bark?
Yes they do. You can get some good bite into them so maybe if you get it tight enough it won’t. I have some ordered so we will see

Good idea for stacking the sticks allowing you to take one off at a time while the others remain nested. Is that a 24” gear tie?

Dude you you really should have put him out of his misery I see you tried a follow up shot but honestly that shot wasn’t that good either you should have give him a third but judging by your first two shots maybe not I honestly think you need to practice more from your stand as both shots are high
"Not my best shot." Watching the video, dude acknowledged that it wasn't his best day of shooting. Hunting isn't all perfect shots. He got one, acknowledged where he could've done better, and I'm sure worked hard to have a better shot the next time. But I bet he will heed your professional advise.
