    I’ve used ForeFlight for years and I really like it. The best thing is that you don’t need any additional equipment to pick up traffic on your phone as long as you have a cell signal. Unfortunately flying I did show my phone having one or two bars of 5G and I was not receiving ADS-B data. My main concern is that my renewal is up in about two months and every year it seems to go up in price. I originally got the basic for $99 a year and now I think this year it may be 130 to 140 for the same, basic usage.

      That really is unfortunate. I’d also be careful to rely on internet based traffic reporting for real time traffic alerting. It will be delayed and incomplete.

    I disagree with many of your reasons. FlyQ is updated a lot and usually comes out with a feature before foreflight. Everyone doesn’t use foreflight! It is the most popular, bot less than 50% of pilots in my EAA club does.

    4 years of ICU/CVICU background: Is is possible to commission and go straight in CCATT? Can you explain the application and selection process? Do you have to commission in as an ICU nurse or can flight nurses get selected too? I was thinking I wanted to go into flight nursing with the Airforce, but I still want to pursue a position where I can utilize my ICU skill set.

    • @JonathanBarrientos

      @@jayr23s93 I would recommend you just go with the mentality to pass. If you ask for help and study, there shouldn't be a reason why you don't pass. Is there a difference between being an Air Force flight nurse and air national guard flight nurse? Can you be in air national full time?

    • @JonathanBarrientos
      @JonathanBarrientos 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The air national guard is still part of the Air Force. Active duty is full time and air guard is part time usually. Air guard can have some full time positions but it's not a guarantee. In the Active duty side, flight nurses are only temporary 3 or 4 year assignments and then they go back to being a regular nurse if I understand correctly. It's not a permanent position on the active duty side. On the air national guard or reserves it is a permanent position but it is part time typically. Hope this makes sense, you can shoot me a message if you have any other questions.

    • @JonathanBarrientos
      @JonathanBarrientos 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Technically you could get your foot in the door with AE. I wouldn't do it though because it would take you a few months to even join, then you would have to try to get released from the AE position or wait until your contract is done. I would find a reserve CCATT base that you like and talk to the recruiter there. They could probably work with you and start the process if you have a bachelor's and get things going for when you are ready. Anything in the military takes time, and I would recommend you give the CCATT recruiter a try, they are always looking for nurses so they might be willing to bend the requirements some. Hope this helps.
