I have them on my eyes and all over my face and body and can't get any help with them with my health provider They have changed my life so much I can't hardly eat because of them.. no matter what I do they come back up on my face, eyes and around my mouth... I have went from a 156 pound's to 111 pounds... I don't know what to do because doctor's doesn't know enough about them... I am sooooooooo overwhelmed and now on heart medication from the stress behind them... Need help 😢

Excellent presentation and something we as humans all need to keep our "eye" on. I was a generation (GenX) that DID go outside 2 or more hours a day. Just was dx with cataracts in my very early 50s. It would be great if we could find a way to stop or at least slow high myopia and the subsequent other dx (MD, RT or Glaucoma). THank you for your post. Very helpful.

It's exciting to hear that this works and may help slow down or stop myopia's progression. I'm 57... I wish Orthokeratology was around when I was a kid! I reached -13 dioptres and had LASIK back in 1999, with a doctor who apparently didn't care much about the long-term negative consequences of (radically) thinning my cornea.

I have diagnosed with keratoconus recently, as martial artist I have to do push ups and hand stand in vertical position (down head position)can It increase intraocular pressure leads to keratoconus very faslty

My scleral lenses have been a godsend for me. I had other eye doctors who tried all types of lenses with me & none really worked. I wish I had scleral lenses sooner

Dr. Mai, thanks for a great video. I'm currently doing Ortho-K here in the USA and because of my age it took MUCH longer than most. However, that said, practitioners in Australia and New Zealand told me that they tell patients that it can take far longer than a few weeks to work, generally. My question however, is in regard to your explanation of how Ortho K works via cell migration as in your diagrams. I was told it works via the lens hauling on the tear 'veil' and creating, and this is my word, not a real term, LOL, a 'hydroponic' force - like diverting a river. That effect on the tear layer is what causes the cell migration. Anyway, all the best.
