They obviously would never animate from a third person perspective because you don't see it ever. CD project red had proven with the witcher 3 that they can do third person fine.

From the modding perspective, yeah. It looks like they use the 3rd person model but remove the head and stick the camera there for 1st person animations. But if the devs baked it into the game, you could easily have 3rd person. Not like CDPR is new to really well done 3rd person animations, even for playable characters. By default the mod even says "we auto shut off 3rd person when you draw a weapon... You can turn that off, but... Why?" The sword is funny enough, but the guns are so much more janky and out of place in 3rd person. lol It also looks especially strange with Fem-V because the shoulders are so broad, in order to make first person animations easier. In short, they just never built the game for 3rd person. Hopefully they'll let us do it in the next game, because it personally helps me with immersion in RPG type games. In a game where you play a role, I like seeing my character just as much as I like seeing the other characters they interact with. To help immerse myself in the world personally, I use whatever the pose mod is called. It helps you specifically with screenshots and building your character uniquely within the world given to you. It ain't real time, but it makes my V feel more like an OC instead of just some cookie cutter V.

Actually i think this isnt right. If i remember right there werent any or only few animations implemented for player character. It looked more like it floated around and squibbelish in Fights especially with finnisher moves. Is this a mod that inteoduced the movement animtions at all ?

GTA v would be a good example They change your animations when you change your view from first person to third person If cdpr made this 3rd person view themselves they would obviously tweak the animations so that it wouldn’t look so funky
