My old cowboy friend used to say, Horses cause brain damage. RIP, Cowboy Bob.

And then you get these lovely intelligent people who do all kinds of stupid stunts with their horses and don't wear any kind of head protection or body protection. And then they laugh when you point out to them how idiotic this move is.

My aunt raised horses and was kicked in the face. She had many metal plates installed all over her head and face as well as had to have her mouth wires shut for months after the incident. Horses are amazing and unfortunately also extremely dangerous.

Thanks for this! I was looking for ways to engage my service horse prospect with play as one avenue to help prepare him for the unusual things he'll encounter on the job and this was a fantastic example.

So glad Athena is fine... Our emotions for those precious to us are so profound! Joy. Happiness. Love. Uplifting. Excitement. +/Or Fear of loss, their life, suffering, death or pain for them - and how very much we'd miss them... Tears of Release, Bodily Shaking, Joy, Relief, Collapse or Exhaustion 'once it is all over' are healthy responses...
