Some good advice here!
Thank you for the comment :)
Thanks Rob, I love the style of you video! Informative, to the point, bit weird but not too weird. I'm not gone think about the why, but it gives me some kind of 90s vibe, which is weirdly refreshing nowadays!
@@TheHobbyWoppyLifestyle lovely comment. Thanks so much :)
Rob I’m losing control! Because you just make so much sense 🤯🤯🥰🥰
@@kellyleemahoney thankuuu Kelly!!!
Nice info bro, kindly do let me know I'm wondering I didn't get what does mean n interpretation of line above bar n written 1 and 2 how to play ???
@@dhirenjazz8100 hey! Thanks. I’d love to help but I’m not sure what part you’re referring to? Could you give me a time stamp? :)
@RobReFrame I mean to say when write D chord you draw one straight line above D n written 1 above line How to play ?????? What does it show in chord chart I know very simple format chord chart reading
@@dhirenjazz8100 Oh yes, so that number "1" just signifies that you play the bars within the bracketed line the first time you go through that section. Then when you play the second time through that section (When you repeat it) you'll get to where the bracketed line and "1" are and you'll skip to where you see the other bracketed line with "2" in it and continue from there. It's so a section can be repeated but have 2 different endings.
@RobReFrame ok bro now I'm trying to get that you quote we have to play n end right ! Thanx for reply
Beautiful 💙💙

Thanks for the love bro!
Good stuff. Remember guys don't go balls to the wall all-in if the facts are growing against you! Love and blessings.
It's about allowing your inspiration and curiosity to guide your actions. Then letting your actions justify your identity statements and beliefs. Thanks so much for the comment :)
What suggestions do you have for a guy currently sitting around an electric and acoustic guitar that understands the entire top of the fret board as well as Ed Sheeran but is entirely self taught and has limited time to learn scales and boxes? I hope to release some music while I’m young to have the time solidified in amber for all it quirks but wants more than the top 5 frets. With love, your new sub
If releasing some music is the priority, i'd use my limited time to develop my song writing skills by writing a song a day using different methods. If guitar playing is the focus, maybe time would be best spent focusing on mastering 1. the chords in the major key. 2. One scale such as Ionian scale or Aeolian scale. 3. Connecting the chords you learnt to the scale you learnt. If you have enough time for both, thats even better :)
@@RobReFrame Legend! Thank you, I love the advice and feel its totally do-able! i cant wait to send you the results! Your channel and ideas are awesome, I hope to see more from one of the greats! all exclamation marks because you made me that excited!
@@isaaclong9341 Excellent! Can't wait to see what you do.
From the old guy who waited too long to learn any music theory: learn the music theory basics. It will help you so much with your writing and playing. Major scale and minor scale is all you need to start. Learn how those scales build chords and you’ll be on your way.
Dude I can't believe your channel doesn't have more support! S/O the algorithm for dropping me here, this was great. KEEP IT UP THANK YOU
I appreciate this comment :) Glad the video helped.

I can write 4 songs in one day I just take an 8th of shrooms and it happens like magic… I really dig your content and I’m on board to start writing one song a day
This is the greatest cheat code of all! 😂 email me your best one after the week and we can talk about it if you like?
@@RobReFrame yeah I’ve been eating a Shroom chocolate bar before writing and recording vocals and definitely the greatest cheat code haha. I’m down to send you a song at the end of the week What email do I send it to?
Thank you for your advice! It happened to me once to record a full draft and just forget about it. The next week i listened to it again and i was taken aback, it really stood out from my other drafts. I loved it. I could hear it with a fresh point of you since i forgot it and i think it's a really good tip! I recommend you guys to try it too at least once 😊 worth it
Thanks for your support. Fresh ears REALLY put stuff in perspective :)
An important caveat to this concept is having the ability to discern between what is good and what is bad. What you might consider one of your bad songs, many could consider it one of your better ones. So it is important to be able to identify and determine the characteristics that lead to an objective “good”.
I completely agree with you. I sometimes wish someone would help me broaden my perspective or encourage me to perfect one specific song, and to tell me which one has potential. But idk anyone who would have the courage to sit and listen/ read 50 songs I write every month :))
Thats so true! Music/art is so subjective. I think when it comes down to it, its ideal for our music to represent our own tastes most authentically while also serving others. So hopefully when you put out the songs YOU like, the right people find it - and they are your people, because there is an alignment between your tastes and theirs.
So Cooooll!!!
Yahs good times
Amazing content and helped me a lot!

this video is what I needed right now. I'm trying to write music and my setbacks make want to quit but this helps me see my position in a better light. if I had all the money, equipment, and time I wanted, my music would probably be nowhere near as interesting as it will be just me in my garage trying to jam out.
Super glad to hear it helped ya out :) Exactly! Your garage music also sets a time stamp for your journey. WHEN you upgrade, you'll appreciate the time spent jammin' and making music in ya garage !

Thanks so much for letting me know. You are a legend. Its all fixed now :)
@@RobReFrame thanks bro. And you're the real legend for sharing this video - believe it or not. This is exactly what I needed to hear. Coz whatever you've mentioned here is so true - I spend too much time on making small tweaks on the production of songs that aren't even good enough, if only I can finish them with average mixes, and spend more time in writing MORE songs, I'm gonna be a different man in a year. So thanks once again for the reminder, I've followed you and have turned on the bell notification too.
I don't know how the fck I ended here but it felt that it was the right time and it's minblwoing to see the video is so recent. Gracias!
