This Community Call focused on how persistent identifiers and ORCID can benefit the Humanities, Social Sciences and Arts disciplines, focusing on the current challenges and future steps being taken to improve PID representation in these disciplines. This call also featured case studies from Knowledge Commons, Canadian HSS Commons, and the American Council for Learned Societies.

This Community Showcase celebrates the 10th Community Showcase from the ORCID US Community, and highlights new features from ORCID. This showcase also features ORCID case studies from the University of Arkansas and Temple University.

ORCID US and ORCID CA hosted a community call on Sept. 17th 2024 on ORCID's Affiliation Manager. This call gave an overview of the Affiliation Manager tool, and featured case studies from CRKN, Lyrasis and the University of Pennsylvania on how they are using this tool at their organizations.

Getting and using your free ORCID iD and ORCID record can help you save time and get credit for your work in funding, publishing, and research reporting workflows. Funding organizations, publishers, and research institutions are increasingly requiring or asking for ORCID iDs from researchers, so this workshop will help you make sure you are ahead of the game.

In this call, you will learn: an overview on workflows for ORCID and repositories, an overview on the types of repositories, and about common systems with ORCID integrations. We also have invited Eckerd College and Brandeis University as guest speakers to share how they have used ORCID with their repositories.

This Community Call focuses on the functionalities of the Member Portal, and on member reports.

On this call, presenters Rebecca Bryant, Senior Program Officer for OCLC Research, Jan Fransen, former research administrator at University of Minnesota, and Bruce Herbert, Professor & Chair, VIVO Leadership at Texas A&M, discussed RIMS best practices and how RIMS workflows can be streamlined using ORCID.

On this call, we discussed recommendations for how to get started with ORCID to make the most of your ORCID membership. Our guest speakers from Northwestern University gave insight into the actions they have taken and plan to continue for ORCID adoption on campus.
