    Not hating on you trying to improve the customer experience. This isn't it though. Not everyone recognizes the emoji game nor are these expressions you mentioned the standard across demographics. I want a product/service, not have to share my thoughts or get emails on the monthly. If the thing doesn't do something, chances are that was already mentioned in the initial conversation. Why once a month and not after using the product/service? I don't know what I'm surveying if receiving a monthly survey. You're going to generate contact volume for your support team by fishing for cases that were probably already handled or can be handled by another team.

    I was wondering if you or anybody else have heard from this company? I just renewed my subscription in January. Have been with them since 2019. But now, they are gone, skipped town, there are rumors, but nobody has heard anything from them. I received my spring box, and it was great. But now Decocrated and all companies associated with Michael Siegel are shut down. Not a whisper from them, no answers from calls or emails. Does anybody know? I still have 3 boxes left in my prepaid subscription. What do we do now?

    Netflix will be dropped by me if they raise again. They've got too much filler crap, don't keep the good shows and movies long enough, and their exclusives are largely trash. I have to be careful what my toddler is watching if it's made by Netflix because of the subliminal, and sometimes blatant, homosexual, sexual, gender identity confusion crap that they put IN CHILDREN'S SHOWS.

    Drew is spot on. The car industry is in full panic mode as they try and do so much effectively immediately. Making misstep after misstep which will bite them as they do not appear to be pausing and saying "if we do this, what are all the possible consequences?" as well as "does this idea make using our car a better experience for the driver and passengers?". Excellent interview.

    VIP Subscribers are most definitely a target profile of subscriber that is proving to be a lucrative and sticky bunch of subscribers. Of course, to Paul's points, a higher price point brings a higher expectation of value. Those that deliver... win over subscribers for the long term and are truly on their way to maximizing Subscriber LTV. One overlooked key here is having an integrated recurring billing/subscription management platform, like Recurly, that offers flexibility to A/B Test plan performance, measure trial conversion, retention, etc. and iterate on the fly.

    Fun episode, definitely enjoyed it. 100% agree that Retention begins on Day 1. You have to keep people engaged or they will find other ways to spend their money, especially in a down economy if what you’re offering isn’t considered an essential. Making sure customers are rapidly realizing value and then encouraging them to keep realizing value is fundamental for subscription businesses at this point.

    What are some of the things that can be offered as a value ad, beside the product, to prevent this fatigue. Can you share some specific examples that might be relevant for a supplement brand?

      As Jay mentions in this clip, you will want to think from the perspective of provided replenishment, curation, and access. What are some services that make sense for your supplement brand that would provide a sense of access for your subscribers? Is it video content around wellness? Perhaps a meal planning flyer to maximize the benefits of the supplement? Is it access to discounts on other products because they are a member/subscriber to your product? With regards to curation are you able to provide your subscribers with personalized items? Do they fill out a quiz to get supplements that are specifically targeted or them?     How do you go to customers after they have subscribed and tell them to switch? Does he mean send email and SMS campaigns to subscribers and offer them the quarterly/Annual plan?

      That's right AlexPhillip, you will want to have emails set up that go out to subscribers that promote and sell the annual/quartlerly plans. You can also use SMS for sure. Consider messaging subscribers who have been with you for at least a few months, so they know and like your product/service. You can also consider having this option in your cancellation flow. "Want to switch to quarterly?"

    I was employed by Winc for a few years and it was the worst experience of my career, it sort of makes me happy to hear they went bankrupt as they treated their employees like crap, but I did see it coming. Very toxic work environment with tons of favoritism. No wonder they went bankrupt because they were overcharging for terrible wine and they were not transparent at all about their practices, it was all made up stories which were all BS. They were selling a gimmick that hadn’t been done in the industry before. It was just a catchy label with cheap wine. They were regularly doing big rounds of layoffs, once it was nearly half the company getting canned and they would drop the news to everyone on a big virtual company call. Management had cushy roles where you could tell they were bankrolling with their salary, and they all had memberships to the most expensive social clubs in the country, while they couldn’t pay their employees market value. The gaslighting and toxicity was just the norm.
