Don't forget about "Black Widow" featuring Westside Gunn! I'm not sure why it's not showing up on some of Hatton Garden Holdup tracklists, but that sone is crazy. Rome blacks out on that joint. And Darigner loops up this demented piano for the soundscape....
Coming back to this after the news. Hope more people can find this to appreciate him if they don’t already. RIP to a GOAT 🕊️

Agreed westsides pen on this album was unmatched imo. People always sleep on his pen, dude is nice. Outside of Mach he’s easily my favorite off griselda.
@@immortalkombvt I’ve had to demote in in favor of Rome as my favor (“and then you pray for me” has done a number on me lmao) but I agree. But I’m right there with you. I don’t think his pen is quite as elite as con and Benny when there actually at their best but with Gunn’s charisma and ear for beats - it’s not necessary

@@mobettaone7795 pain provided profit is mediocre, won’t he do it is borderline mediocre and not good, drumwork the album isn’t good, speshal machinery is fine but spesh out rapped conway, conductor machine is really good, Palermo is fine but not special, hall & Nash 2 is excellent but doesn’t really count cus it’s old, slant face Killa had highlights but just as much garbage…mediocre overall, then chaos is my ladder 2 is quite good. That’s essentially 2 albums out of a whole lot

I think you was a little too hard on the first few songs but to each is own. I’m just not as hard on the syllable schemes as you are that’s probably why I like them more but this project overall was super dope. This the Griselda project I was waiting for.
Yo I’ve been telling people that the run on the second half of this album is unreal. I think alliteration is specific to the first letter of consecutive words, like “Peter piper picked pickles” or whatever, and assonance is what Rome is doing and guys like Earl are super proficient with too.
Yezzir that’s it! Thats what I was tryna say when I was saying it’s really alliteration but in rap everyone lump it together and call em both alliteration like how we lump metaphors and similes together and call em both metaphors. I’d say a true alliteration like what Earl does is even harder to pull off that assonance
@@BSideRapReviews let’s bring back delineation of literary devices in rap breakdowns in 2025 haha. Can you think of examples where there is both alliteration and assonance happening? Like, all the words are starting with the same letter but then there’s also some vowel sound that’s being repeated in the internal rhyme.
