    Hello all / anyone Question..... can anyone explain it give clarity on the following ... does any change to typical Purine & Pyrimidine, folate, B6 or B12 pathways during pre or early post natal periods , result in heritable genetics that could be passed from that baby should they procreate in later life?

    Sir at 27:54 if puromycin inhibits entry of Amino acyl tRNA by binding to A site.. Shouldn't it inhibit elongation step and not initiation step of translation?

    Very nice and crisp explanation useful for students. This is actually regarding the teacher's perspectives and and student's expectations regarding the assessment and paper settings using the blue print. An initiative by Dept of Biochemistry, KEM hospitals and Seth GS Medical College, which is worth listening.     sir, why does the mutation remain unidentified following the deamination of cytosine to uracil??

      Thank you for watching the video carefully and raising query. This statement was about comparing DNA and RNA. In DNA if cytosine gets deaminated to Uracil, the enzyme Uracil DNA Glycosylase removes it during DNA repair. Such mutation in DNA will cause major manifestations due to change from C:G to U:A pairing after the deamination of cytosine to uracil. Moreover, it is easy to find out uracil in DNA arising due to mutation because Uracil is not present in DNA. But in case of RNA, uracil is one of the four usual nucleotide bases present in RNA. So, it is difficult to find out the uracil which was present in the structure and the Uracil formed due to deamination of cytosine. Therefore, the chances of mutation occurring due to deamination of cytosine to uracil and getting unidentified in RNA are more compared to the same happening in DNA. Hope this explanation solves your doubt.....

    Thank you sir for the wonderful video, i wanted to ask that as the acid phosphatases are active at low pH than how can we measure the serum enzymatic activity as the normal pH of serum is around 7 and the enzyme would become inactivated.?

      Thank you Maurya! If you remember estimation of enzyme activity of any enzyme in laboratory, we simulate the optimum pH and temperature conditions along with the substrate. Here for that matter, in case of estimation of ACP, we provide acidic optimum pH condition. Interference by Serum pH in the reaction will be negligible as we take very little quantity.
