Marvelous display of orchids, almost like finding them in natural wild forms in the forests, instead of looking at a grocery store floral department.

The Cymbidiums are gorgeous, they look like royals. Still way too many Phalaenopsis, they start looking like invasive plants. Need more Cattleya, Vanda, and Dendrobium. And where are the Vanilla orchids? They're so hard to find in orchid shows, but so easy to find in ice cream.

Check out "Marc Quinn: Light into Life," a new art exhibition at Kew Gardens running from Saturday, May 4 to Sunday, September 29, 2024. Open daily from 10am to 7pm (last entry at 6pm), with the Shirley Sherwood Gallery open until 5.30pm (last entry at 5pm). The exhibition features 17 amazing stainless steel and bronze sculptures by contemporary artist Marc Quinn, displayed around the Gardens and in the Temperate House. You'll also find Quinn’s latest and past paintings, drawings, and frozen works in the Shirley Sherwood Gallery of Botanical Art.
