Which version is this? This sounds totally unlike the version I played, using a Roland MT32 (Actually a LAPC-I). I mean the melody is completely different!

Subway theme and Pleasure Dome slap so hard. If you're like me and love the Pleasure Dome track, definitely check it out on the DOS release. It's slower paced, super chill, and absolutely awesome.

This game gets a lot of flak (some of which is deserved), but I enjoyed the game overall. The atmosphere and OST are simply excellent.

Never knew there was a video of the other deaths. I was trying to find one a couple years ago. Never knew Blade also narrated his own deaths.

Re: 4:18, Sega Vision's article on RotD actually points out "It may seem obvious, but remember to dress Blade before leaving his apartment. Otherwise, he will get arrested." 😂

I love the graphics in this game. so dystopian and cool. and the music really highlights it well. dispite the music being done with the sounds of crap sound cards, it still has an atmosphere to it that i still enjoy listening to today!

Late reply but just wanted to say thanks for recording and uploading the rare Sega CD version music. I've owned the CD for many years, so heard the Redbook tracks, but never the in-game music. If anyone's interested, the Sega CD music, aside from the Redbook tracks that play during the theme and intro appear to be in some MIDI-like tracker format (in BIN format, no idea how one utilises it or converts it though!). My educated guess would be someone converted the PC MT-32 MIDI score very quickly for GM and it was made to use the default GM PCM synth onboard the Sega CD. The saving grace for Sega CD owners, outside of the awesome Redbook tracks is the cool drumset in the Sega PCM synth (coinciding with the fact that the score is drum heavy) which was pretty decent for 1993! Otherwise, the Sega CD music is almost wholly inferior to the original MT-32 music and yet another reason to recommend the DOS version. Someday I'll get my DOS soundtrack finished and uploaded! That said, it's awesome to finally get to hear it. And the playlist linked to is in stereo too, even better. :) Thanks a lot Miss Angel!!

WOW - i just realized something......i played this game at a young age (like 10, hahaha).....and i grew up to avoid drugs like the plague; everyone else was more tolerant and curious that i was.....not me.....i hated the idea of drugs.......but i never knew why; hahahahhahaha......and now i know why......because of dirty scuzzy los angeles; crazy; also, it just dawned on me that i am from canada, but i once dated a woman from america for almost 2 years......and guess what city she was from; los angeles; and we lived in kansas......; God is pissing himself lauging at me figuring this out right now - like the detective i once was; i can not believe how much fun this clip was for me just now; whoa - no wonder i am good at reading.....i used to have to follow this dialogue - and monkey island.......not like now-a-days where the content is spoken; ALTHOUGH......it would be fun to remake this game.....OOOH, or a movie....i call dibs on Blade! or Chen! i can wriggle on the ground! oh those rats - gotta have the steelies;

Ever since I first played this in 1994, all I ever wanted was to live in a shitty, two-room apartment, in a dystopian cyberpunk future cityscape, with nothing to my name except a cool coat and an attitude. Unfortunately, I live in a big house, with a beautiful wife and our five daughters, in a well-to-do neighborhood. The "21st Century future" that I dreamed of has been a big letdown.
