With all due respect, the Shekinah glory evidenced in Exodus is a parallel to God’s everlasting love through the cross (not the sacraments). The sacraments themselves are also a pointer to the cross and resurrection, not the other way around. Much in the same way that the Israelites erected stones to evidence the glory of God, the sacraments evidence the glory of Christ.

Poor Protestants , Matthew 26:26-30 says: 26 Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, "Take, eat; this is my body." 27 And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, "Drink of it, all of you." 28 for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins . Reformed theologians such as Luther, Calvin, Knox and basically every other one except for Zwingli ALL hold that Christ is present in the Eucharist. The only difference between Reformed theology and Catholicism/Orthodoxy is that the elements/substance of the bread and wine itself becomes to body and blood of Christ while the Reformers didn’t hold to that.

Edit: One has brought to my knowledge that this pastor did not mean what he seemed to have meant in this clip, that it was simply out of context. For those that do believe in the bread literally being Jesus body and the blood literally being His blood, I leave the comment under this edit Not biblical. Take a deeper study on John 6. We already have the presece of God always. We are filled with the Holy Spirit. John 6 wasn't even contextually referring to the Lord's Supper. That would be a long while after that. We see in John 6 that Jesus had just fed the 5000 and they had followed Him. They just wanted more food. Jesus points out how they need Him. Not food. They were Jews, so by Jesus essentially saying that He is the only way to eternal life, they took deep offense at this and found the teaching hard. We also see a clear parallel. John 6:40,54 ESV For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day." [54] Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. The Lord's Supper symbolizes how Jesus gave His body and shed His blood for us. One is saved by grace, through faith, and this is not the person's own doing, but a gift from God. Faith alone. Good works are what we do because we are saved, not to be. ❤✝️
