Indy's Bike Trails SD 480p
My 17.5 mile commute home includes several different types of bike path and bike trail, from the old dangerous car-door trails to canopied linear parks. This is from downtown Indianapolis to Carmel, a northern suburb.

Bulk Configuration

Configuration of Bülk #66. The green is special order Opel Matcha GGI Green Metallic. Brakes are 90mm, and they are great. They stop this thing on a dime, no matter how fast I'm going. I've got the Ventisit seat pad and arm rests. The headlight is the SL X Lupine, and the top light is the IQx. I added floor mats, which really do keep things from going all over the place, and the front storage, ...

May 30 commute home
มุมมอง 88ปีที่แล้ว
The start of my commute home, leaving downtown Indianapolis. This was shot with a 10 year old Midland XTC100VP2 640 x 480 Standard Definition Camera, so it's not beautiful. But is it good enough? I think it would clearly show any accidents, dumb actions by cars in front of me, etc. I've got a Varia 710 with a camera in the rear.

Believe it or not, you are the first person to tell about the "hole in lid" option.

How long will that battery provide power to the lights, etc.?

Front compartments are also available on the old Milans without hatch in the front - I have them on my SL. Holds a lot of stuff, but easier to get to in yours. I still like them for spare parts and tools, though. Can we have a listen to your exciters?

Thanks for the video review. Just picked my white and metallic red BÜLK at the Portland International Airport PDX last Friday. Wow! What an impressive machine! Just finished up soldering a C3 RC car 14.8v battery and have been thinking about how to mount the cone mirrors. I watched Jan’s vido for ideas and he installed his on the open hood (as you did on your hood) instead of on the velo itself. This way you don’t have to worry about hitting the when your getting in or out. I’m going to buy an extra set and leave them on each.

@@davidhonig2375 I’d like to purchase another set of cone mirrors that originally came with it but haven’t asked Jan yet if they’re only available at the factory. Any recommendations?

@@steveanderson1947 I'd buy them from Jan. I already ordered the combo hood after my bike arrived, and they're shipping it. I think, to save costs, they're going to ship in somebody else's big box, with instructions for them to ship to me, at my expense. I expect I'll use one hood for most of the year, and just change once a year as seasons change, so I might just move them.

@@steveanderson1947 thanks, just curious what is height with the hotspot/spotlight, at moment looking to rearrange space I got to add like a custom space for in future when buy one so have a place to park it, I saw a place say 84CM but unsure if include hotspot/spotlight This year I'm focused more at get groupsets for future projects before the groupsets are gone completely than to save for velomobile

@@mlee6050 You might inquire David Honig of who posted this video for an overall height as I didn't order a hotspot with my Bulk. I have a super bight red strobe on the rear and a bright white strobe attached to the left mirror. Most of the new Bulks seem to all have a hotspot these days so I might buy the housing and attach it with velcro. If height it limited for storage you might consider that route. But if your able to make the factory hotspot work I believe the electrical is controlled from inside the cockpit which would be very nice.

@@steveanderson1947 I might do detachable, I measured and at a push 101cm, for safety 96cm (be nice to get my own place for more space I can have), I mainly thought of hotspot as if feel another rear light or to use like a place for cameras to be more aero than like a go pro on hood, might sound too much but I thought to use a few cameras to increase visibility of around me of what me and mirrors can't see One in hotspot for like 3rd person of front and a few of certain angles, I do same for my future car, like say cameras to see wheels (help avoid wheels going into something) and sideways (camera on left and right so can just look forward and see when it clear faster than keep turn head, I believe instead of look left right left right that with cameras see faster and leave junction faster than without)

There are also fiberglass inserts in the knee bumps that help with the gps signal so you don’t really need the clear window. Curious if it helps with light in the cockpit though. Hard to see the gps with the race hood. Good summary. Nice to see how others are set up. You should also do a video review of speed on your full sized quest vs the Bülk.
