yes, they say it's between 1 and 2km/h. So I guess in worst case scenario add that to the valley wind or ground speed. Yes - I know about side drift, hence my comment. Slower descent rate in windy conditions would mean correspondingly faster horizontal speed for side impact collision with buildings, trees, power lines etc. But on balance I think I'd go for the slower descent rate anyway.

all paragliding rescues have side drift, the round parachutes drift sideways, this is how they achieve the EN regulated descent rate

Let's see what happens when deployed in windy conditions. Horizontal speed on arrival could be a problem?

Das ganze würde ich ja gerne mal bei 60kmh sehen ob der dann überhaupt noch ganz bleibt bei der schnellen Öffnung.
