Considering that modern Star Trek can't even get a new movie out for the past 8 years, despite the return in 2017 and four new shows, and a TV movie, no way in Avis is there going to be an Orville movie.

Content creators using interviews and footage from copyrighted shows will be flagged by Disney, or any other studio, as you're using content that is not yours. Clips are fair use, if very short. Interviews, no.

The shows were not popular enough to make a feature film. Orville was very niche. It was a Star Trek homage. Hollywood will not bank on a multi million dollar movie, nor cast the people in it.

Season 3 did end just fine. Have that and enjoy.

Ted was mentioned by the trades, so if McFarlane's working on that, there is nothing Orville related going on.

Hollywood will never adapt a story from a previous work without massive rewrites, and would not spend the money on such a writing project. They want their stories fast, easy, repetitive and loose. Stories with a lot of extra back story are rejected. Fan stories are never, ever used. Fans would have to be paid. It's nearly unthinkable. If you are not famous, you are not interesting to them. Even if there was a teleplay version of Sympathy for the Devil, they will never do that.

Disney just announced its showslate for 2025. Not one mention, not one peep, not one 'in progress' for any Orville season 4. Disney is not posting a thing.

Since Star Trek Lower Deck Season Five began I've started to notice in episode two, three and four that Biomler was trying to grow a beard or moustache because when I saw the first and second trailer a while back Biomler never have any.

The nanite 20 sided die was not really like the Playmates shows as they're not microscopic, and don't go giant, but it is a die used in the role playing game, Starship Chimera, 20 years ago, during the series they are also referencing. There. Ha. But many rpgs use them.

The title is not a play on the Grand Budapest Hotel, but on the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, although the premise of the Budapest one seems more in line with the young people mystery and quirkiness of the episode than the other. Marigold is about senior citizens and that part is is there too, if you count the admiral.

Like to think he's imagining being the new lawyer as that makes sense! So really they could have ended this at the 90 minute mark and that would have been perfect. Yeah, cut out all the musical numbers and the explosion and just end it where it ends. Better movie. About 90 minutes long.

Phoenix has spinal issues and his back and neck just look like that, but he lost crazy weight for that part, and it can't be healthy doing that kind of method acting.

What's messed up is that some critics who didn't actually pay attention confused the solitary scene for the deliverance scene. They're completely different scenes!

Everyone in the story is the villain and they are all using this madman Arthur to their own ends.

No way would the prison guards have let Harley 'Lee' into solitary to make out with Arthur. That's in his mind. She is therefore not pregnant. She might be there but she's not in a love relationship with him. He's imagining her with him, and when in the end she breaks it off, girl was not that into him as he thought.

Oh, Harley can't be imagined, she starts the fire, or maybe he did, the Lawyer talked to her, and then she later breaks the glass and steals the TV, but both of those are from Arthur's perspective, and he fires the lawyer, from his perspective, so he imagined those.

Yeah, they projected the beats in the old songs included in it, quite a bit, and even said three times that 'it should blow up' and then something like that happens. Yep, all in Arthur's head possibly after being beaten senseless near the end of the trial when he gives up. As a psycho analysis of the dumpster fire of a story, it's a fascinating wreck. It did not disappoint in that way.

Madness for Two, or Folie a Deux is the idea that two crazy people might experience the same psychotic idea.

Many hypothesized that Harley in this is really a figment of Arthur's imagination. Further a point of it, the whole thing might be a 'bad joke' writ real. If that's the point of the movie, it nailed it.

Since the passing of the holdout at Harmony Gold, Macek first, then Argama, Sony and other powers have lifted the import restrictions on Macross and Transformers related similar toys to those of Ban Bai and Takara toys, but Ban Dai has not quite backed off, and has some restrictions for making new ones. The ban was lifted in 2022. What happned in 1984 was that then Takara and then Tomy were able to make 'versions of this' fighter. Ban Dai later also made versions, but did not okay it with Studio Nue and Big West, Harmony Gold, hence the Jetfire toy fell through the copyright cracks. They merged and refocused later, and had banned Hasbro from making any new similar designs, until about 2014. They made a similar one. Then by 2022 they were able to make the show accurate one, not listed here obviously. Secret Galaxy, formerly Toy Galaxy, has some excellent videos on this subject, as well as the Basics on Transformers. The fan films may exist so long as no money is earned from ad revenue. These are not ad sensed.

Splice was indeed the movie with Dren, not Species. Also they would be foolish to address too much of Covenant and the whole cut scene allegory of Engineer Jesus, as that is so lame. The fake script bits online are too wordy. The original actual script didn't go into details like that. Yes, I've seen the fake too.

David is presumably on that Yvega planet, means Heaven, having infested them in the sequel to this, presumably.

The faster goo idea is also silly, but you figure the station personnel are super insane and just wanted to make faster, better aliens. Also it is funny that they retcon the Engineers into being hybrids with humans, by way of that gross space baby thing, and rip off Splice (Dren), which somehow is better than what Ridley did with the prequels, and makes Covenant make more sense. David didn't really find the Engineer planet, he found an engineer planet, of half human hybrids. They weren't making space Jesus, or intended as a bio weapon, but were Nephilem. Works way better.

Aliens Earth is actually a thing. They're making a show, but if it's on regular cable it's not going to be that gory. Kal is not involved in that.

Alien Romulus has the vibe and the look in the right place, but the member berries are out of place, and don't belong there. The dad jokes and the robot for no reason quoting Weaver from Aliens is really dumb. It makes no sense for the synth to be like that.

Moreover, my own two cents, Disney is in disarray since having to cancel the Acolyte and is not looking to fill that slot with anything just now, as they're working on that Mando movie, and other things, and really yet another Orville season seems remote. Your idea of doing an Orville movie also got out there. Not at this time. I think here too you were wishful thinking into being. I'm sure JP and other sites didn't mean to hammer the TH-cam with Orville non news, and he is just excited. I'd let them have their fun. After all, you have Lower Decks coming in October. Cheers. Update. McFarlane denies the accidental slip from Grimes at the convention, claiming he was misquoted. Paliki also doesn't want to return despite recent podcast clip cribbing to the contrary on a fan site. What happened at the Star Trek convention merely got everyone's hopes up for nothing, our source said, and really Grimes did not mean to say it like that. If you actually were there, the quote had a wishful thinking vibe indeed. 'I hope production can begin again in January', is far different than 'production begins in January', kids. D23 did not even bring up the Orville, nor did GalaxyCon this year. To paraphrase, they love it that fans are passionate about the show and want to see new episodes, but there is nothing yet. It's not a secret. It just isn't happening. But like two years ago, it's not cancelled. It just isn't happening yet. Sites such as Talking the Orville have been notified as to the gaff, and doubled down accordingly, doing watch parties and getting everyone's hype up, while using footage and music from the shows. Having no stake in the game, this site does not care if they use said material, but Disney Hulu might. Our former cast member source would know. Thanks for the tip, Kal.

Still no actual confirmation from Seth Mcfarlane or any from Disney Hulu even at d23 this weekend. The net people are still running with that one quote from Grimes because that is all they actually have. At this point, Seth is smart to not say anything at d23. He probably does have an NDA. This is not confirmation. He doesn't want to get canned.

Even more wishful thinking, doing an Orville movie would at this point be best financially for Disney. They probably won't, or if they do, they'll call it something else and confuse the fans, like when they called John Carter of Mars just John Carter and nobody knew what it was. Let Seth do a Star Trek. :)

Seems Scott Grimes was really misquoted, and it would be awkward for Adrianna Paliki, his ex wife in real life, to return, and she won't. Yes, NDAs, which mean non disclosure agreements, so Scott probably wasn't breaking his. He was just wishing it could happen. IDK I wasn't there.
