I still have a Mercury Pro set that I love. I even feature them in a music video. But in the seventies, we were all taking the bottoms of the toms and the kick drum. So I'm looking for the unique Mercury kick drum rim. If anyone knows where I can get one in halfway decent shape, let me know. Loved watching.

These have a very flat profile. I have a pair of 14s from the 60s I believe. They have this same sound...washy. Nice.

I just did something extremely similar to the snare part. I used the same Keller Rogers shell stock, and built a Mardis Gras 5 3/4" X 14 with Rogers hardware! All brand new parts like yours. I love to know how you finished the interiors. Thanks

I've always said a drummer needs a bass drum long enough that he can hide inside it if the gig goes south. Plus it's big enough to store all your nuts for the winter.

My dad a set of drums like these when I was a kid in the 90’s that was basically the set I played all the time. I loved the tone of that kit even though they were kind of cheaply made they had a warmth about them that was awesome

Can't believe how much cymbals have gone through the roof. It's insane how much they cost today. What the heck are they doing so different than 25 30 yrs ago? They are triple the price they used to be. You almost gotta be rich to play drums, especially if you want decent cymbals, just sad.

Beautiful cymbal. Next time use 5A maple sticks instead of Louisville sluggers. The drummers interested in that cymbal aren't using giant pro mark hickory sticks. Or were those oak? Even worse. Just trying to help.

There is just something about the vintage drums more relaxing and pillowy sound than like the modern drums that are super open and harsh sounding

I got my 14" Quickbeats in 1977 and only purchased one other set of hats which are 13" K/Z...between those two I have used those on Pop to rock to country, jazz, big band, latin, fusion R&B...you name it...and they have NEVER NEVER let me down!!!
