There are about 150 effects, one of which will occur after each new cooldown of 15 seconds or so. You get some pretty crazy compound corruptions happening. I forgot to mention, in most shmups if you're hit once, you die. That's the appeal. Neocities is great, I learned and made my own basic website using it. It's a site full of jank, but it's mine and I love it! For learning and tutorials I worked through the lessons on htmlforpeople. A decade ago I never thought I'd have so much fun learning how web design and coding. For so many years social media made us think making personal websites from scratch was an archaic thing of the past. Most recently I've been moving on from neocities. I bought a domain, bought a hosting plan, and have been learning all about domains, how hosting servers work, how to use FTP, setting up nameservers and dns records, etc. Neocities is great because you don't have to know anything about all the back-end stuff to get started with just coding and designing a site. It's a really fun and approachable way to start. For anyone else wanting to move on from Neocities, one thing I strongly recommend, buy your domain and hosting plan from separate providers. A lot of companies try to sell you domains and hosting as an all-in-one package, but don't do it. Domain registrars and hosting providers are very different services, and are each very complicated to do well. Companies can only really be good at one, not both. Also, if there's a problem or security issue, you do not want your domain and host to be with the same provider.
whoah! I loled in Cameron´s world! I favorited it and will add it to my favorite retro sites on my Links page from my Neocities retro site as well. i used to use Geocities Site Builder! it was an easy wysuwyg program to make your webpages in! I am so happy for Neocities! it saved us from Geocities! But still a lot of folks did not jump ship yet (bringing their sites over) I will add your page to my links too!

Been a while since I've done this. You'll have to scavenge theough people's code using the inspect tool, and reverse engineer how they did it. I probably have it on a page or two of my site, if you want to look on mine. Use the inspect tool and look at some Neocities pages with music on them.

What a cool video about shmups, anime and pop culture! I've been a fan of shmups again ever since I played a demo of Graze Counter. By the way, Graze Counter is a totally absurd bullet hell shooter that wants you to fly towards the bullets. Which I think is a great idea!

You should do that jump first then it will be way easier. You can also still get the perfect if you do it first.
Good point, I think part of what frustrated me too is that might've been my first screwup of the game, and I didn't end up getting all the emeralds.
@@gurenchamp Damn that sucks not getting all the emeralds. Same thing almost happened to me about a week or two ago, I was playing sonic 3 & knuckles (on the original sega mega drive, as I have the original games) and I was on Lava Reef Zone Act 2 and I only needed one super emerald left to get hyper sonic. I was really worried I wasn't going to get it because usually I have all the emeralds by Flying Battery Zone but I kept messing up which never happens. Also Lava Reef Zone Act 2 is the last level to include big rings so I had to get it.
