On a sail from Albany to NYC in 1985 we anchored one evening off Bannerman's Island. I rowed the dinghy to the island and went exploring the island in the twilight. I found a nice pile of bricks inside the castle and sat down and smoked a funny cigarette, hopeful that the walls (not yet braced or repaired) were not going to collapse in on me. It was fun roaming with the spirits and for a little while being king of the castle.

I find it so tragic that so many of these magnificent historical structures are simply left to degenerate to ashes. They are important historical memories of time gone by and should be maintained. US is a rich country and should give grants for such projects. Very sad 😢

This farm is good for only babyboomers. Prices of self picked apples are kinda expensive in compare to store purchase organic apples. LOL. You're really paying for tourist rates. Try to stay away from this fishkill farm. Besides Other apples Orchard farms are there without any entrance fees.

It was that very book that saved the lighthouse, as well as the unbelievably huge outcry from the children of the city who read and heard that story book read to them. They couldn't bear to see The Little Red Lighthouse come to an end. I was born 25 years after they saved it, but even hearing that somebody actually wanted to tear it down gets me upset, as does my own children. Seeing it one day is on my bucket list.

I am absolutely 100 % convinced that Sasquatch is connected with UFOs. How else can it be explained when there is an entire line of foot prints leading to the middle of an open area, and then they suddenly just come to a stop. The prints don't lead to a river, or a different textured ground where prints are not as easily seen. They have often been seen in the middle of a snow covered field....and then come to a dead stop with nothing else beyond that point. There's only one answer for such a thing. They had to have been taken straight up from that very location.
