The really nice thing about Plave is that the members themselves are in charge of all the music and dance choreo (which is all done in motion capture). Their company is in charge of the graphics and their tracking. As other comments have stated yes they use motion capture tech and they live stream in it at least twice a week, basically like VTubers! Their characters are based on their IRL proportions for the most accurate movements and personal quirks. The last song you reacted to had a lot of references to their live streams.

Yes, as the other comment said, thanks to real-time motion capture tech (basically sensors that capture their body movements) each member-an anonymous but real artist- can make each of these avatars/characters move just like them, facial expressions included. So the avatars function as a visual representation to communicate with fans. Still, the management of this technology, the design of these characters, the virtual landscapes, visual effects, objects animation, etc., everything is the product of the effort, talent and time of incredible artists from the startup Vlast. As for the musical part, the 5 members of PLAVE are not only singers and dancers, but they write and produce all of their songs and create their choreography themselves. That's why even though "AI" is a buzzword, we always make the friendly request not to reduce their work to terms like "AI", because many people have discredited their work by assuming they use it, when they don't at all. Only recently have AI-powered or AI-assisted projects, such as Mave or Naevis, made their debut, but before that, virtual acts have always been collabs between artists from different fields and AI was not the norm 😔 Anyway, thank you sm for checking out their music! Hi!! Thank you so much for the reaction! BUT just to clarify, Plave is NOT AI. There are real people using motion capture suits so every MV you saw it’s actually them moving/singing. The only one that isn’t made like that is the 6th summer (cuz it’s animated). They even do livestreams and they are hilarious LMAO. Thanks again for the reaction!!! 💙💜💗❤️🖤
