DIY Panelling a room ( Timelapse ) how To Install Wainscoting
End of vid shows cold joint. Which is what the crew placing was doing too. Sad
Is that self leveling cement
It’s not self-levelling but not too far off it
That is the wettest concrete I've ever seen poured. Will it even set-up and get hard?
It is a special mix for pumping very high cement powder you could work on it after six hours
Beautiful, but why did you leave that space from the wall? Also, I most definitely would've gone for a bigger TV.
Thanks for your positive feedback . In this video I revisit the wall and you can see why they gap was left th-cam.com/video/x6xF1NWcPp8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=3wb0vCnzLJXvI9M4 I tried to push them for a bigger TV but they tell me they did not want
great work! What is the advantage here for using mdf instead of sheetrock?
The reason I use the MDF was to get a seamless finish with the drawers in the unit. Thanks for your positive feedback
Question , why is it not all the way to the wall on the Right what is the small gap for ? thanks
So in front of the media wall, there is a large 5m window and the gap was left for a curtain to slide down the side of the wall. I also thought it should go all the way across, but the client got their way
@@DDconstruction1 I agree mate seems overkill , but the customer is always right
Can you please tell the timber size you used thanks
Hi the frame work is 3x2 & the MDF is 18mm
Love the wall plug, never in my life thought of that and will now forever use it
👍
How much does this cost ?
@@stoglegend hi depending on the size of the unit and the fire you would like roughly around €6000
What an amazing job you have done please what mm mdf did you use for this project?
@@sherrieholland9765 thank you for your positive feedback I used 18mm for all of the shelves and 12mm on the face of the unit hope that helps you
@DDconstruction1 thank you
What's the slot for above the electric fire??????....
@@platoond that’s a long story basically the client gave me the wrong measurements for a sound bar i’ve learnt a valuable lesson not to build something from somebody else’s measurements
thank you for review
@@dovohofficial you’re welcome it is a excellent laser
Thanks for review. The H3-360G kit, long distance with Pulse Mode can extended to 400ft/122m.
@@dovohofficial it is a very powerful laser I look forward to testing it more thank you
Looks great ! Where is the fireplace from ?
Thanks for the positive feedback where are you located the fire is from solution fires
That’s some job!!! Impressive
Thanks for the positive feedback 👍
Do you typically always use 12mm mdf for these media wall builds ?or ever 18 mm or?
Hi I use 18 mm For most of the unit and I was using 12 mm for the face of it so you get the least amount Exposed edges on the MDF
Wow Thank you so much for your help and great ideas. I ended up using the plugs and they work like a charm. ❤
Thank you for the positive feedback I’m glad to hear you now have a working door handle good job 👍
Excellent job❤❤❤
Thank you! 😊
Legend. Thanks. ❤
@@toon_oioi 👍
Lovely job. Im mad to get a media wall done but its so hard to get the trade lads to work together as in installer and electrician. Their just so busy. I understand the units need to be recessed for the c channel diffuser strip. But trying to plan for the wiring pre install is a nightmare!
Where are you based Some people were offered a full service Also behind the TV I have access panels for the right and left cables to the lights In this video I revisit the media wall when it was fully decorated might help you. th-cam.com/video/x6xF1NWcPp8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=JPOMHbdOtQ_M_Fsy
You dont wear mask while doing wood work ? Dust might hamper your lungs. Kuddos to you great work🎉
Yes you are correct I have since invested in a respirator mask Thank you for the positive feedback
Why did you leave the 200mm gap at the end?
Hi have a look at this video it will explain as to why there was a gap th-cam.com/video/x6xF1NWcPp8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=dWkE6W2su6Bdio6s
Интересно как световое окно в потолке гостинной обиграно на втором этаже
The roof windows are very good to let the light into your house👍
Did you glue the MDF to the timber frame? Or just pin/screws?
Hi I just pin and screw the large sheets I would use glue on the smaller pieces however if you want to use glue it is good practice 👍
Looks absolutelly beaultiful. My question is, how do you perform maintenance in case there is a problem with the fireplace? I'm thinking about building a similar structure, but this question is really annoying me.
@@ricardorosas3740 thanks for the positive feedback so the glass can be removed to access the inside of the fire and behind the TV I have an access panel on the right and left however if the fire totally breaks and needs to be replaced you would have to take the front face of the unit . Hope that helps good luck with the build 👍
nice!
Thanks
well done, looks great! what about the soundbar ? someone forget to measure the real dimensions
Thanks for the positive feedback yes well spotted I foolishly trusted the client to give me the measurements I’ve learnt a valuable lesson not everybody can read a measuring tape

Thank you for your positive feedback I appreciate it
Great video! What size is the MDF you use to board?
Thanks for the Positive feed back I use 18mm MDF for the shelves and drawers and 12 mm for the face of full unit
Brilliant build. What LED lights did you use? Are they 3 strips and wired to the mains or plugged in individually? We are having a similar layout and are looking for options. Thanks
@@nathandraycott hi thanks for your positive feedback yes in the video each shelf had its own LED strip and driver wired back to a switch on the wall I will link below the LEDs lights I used LED strip lights / amzn.to/4gtXqhk Led driver / amzn.to/3XDMypJ

6 sheep on roadway! Total gridlock!

You’re welcome 😊
TV is way too small for that built-in and should never be smaller than a fireplace insert. Right now, this is not a media center but a fireplace center with oversized shelving.
Yes recommended to the client a 65 inch TV but they insisted they only wanted 55 inch they were very happy with the final product

Looks great, I might use this method...10:37 what is the step here please? Primer on the MDF and then how do you get the smooth finish without screws showing please?
Hi yes you are correct prime the MDF plenty of paint in the cut edges Allowed to dry and sand then all screws should be sunk below surface and simply fill and sand
Nice
Thanks
Shite wabbly hold on those things
Cool
Thanks
In Australia we use 90x45mm or 90x35 just wondering which is closer to your size
The timber are use is 75mmx 45mm I think 90 x 35 will work perfectly fine tried to buy them as straight as possible
@@DDconstruction1 absolutely cheers thanks for the advice just one more, for the front facier of the build did you use approx 9 mm mdf
The front face are used to 12mm and the rest of the unit i used 18mm
Best of luck with the build
What size timber did you use for your base construction
@@peterhayes2110I used 3 x 2 timber for the framework
