Would I have to do this to the yaesu ft 901DM

I just tried this on a ts-520s that I inherited. I got no response from anything. Any suggestions? KE8VUW

In my opinion A 520 is one of the very best ever built ! Of its type of course ! Owner's manuals and service manuals are available online for free ! I own 4 of these ! One of which has never been used ! Brand spanking new in the box ! The fella I bought it from once had hopes of getting a licence He kept it in a closet for decades :) I do not like much But What I like I like a lot ! A TS 520 KNWD I like a lot :)

When I turn mine on and key up on 28.4 mhz my needle is swinging backwards why ?

Good job explaining the process. Don't be afraid, however, to throttle the CAR[rier] control back a shade after tuning up. You will save the finals running them at 80-90 watts and have just as much luck with making contacts.

Thanks for the great guide on how to do this. I've had my TS-520 for a couple years, but finally got an antenna up suitable for transmitting. Going to give this process a try.
