Glass Bead Wet Blasting VS Ultrasonic Cleaning - Porsche 993 Cylinder Heads
Where did you get the chrome powder coat from bro?
Does cerakote gets mixed with a solvent or it's used pure ?
It depends on the series of Cerakote. The V-Series are not mixable. Some C-Series you can mix with each other to achieve different color variations. Other series may require a catalyst which you can buy directly from them.
@@EFRMotorsport got C series. Hoping it will help with the temp Issue on the engine bay
Amazing result!
Did y’all install new dust boots and gaskets or kept the same (if they weren’t damaged)
In this case we kept the same ones, since they were still in great shape. But if there is any signs of cracks or damage we definitely advise having them replaced!
How do you get the decals to not get damaged when baking the clear coat ?
Some decals are more resistant to heat than others. Some dont warp when baking, you've got to find a vinyl that doesnt. Check out our latest short where we do a set of Mustang calipers, we do use an alternative method to decals.
Nice BMW
Definitely a gorgeous one!
These are not 993 cylinder heads. The 993 is twin spark.
How long did you cure the clear coat? I’ve tried this with white vinyl logos before and the white turned brown after a full cure.
White vinyl is a tricky one. You cure it at slightly lower heat then required. Try different brand of vinyl, some whites are more heat resistant then others. Best way of doing it is a cutout and spraying Cerakote C series rather then applying a decal. We posted a new short where you can see the cutout for a brief second. It will give you an idea. Will post another short in a few days showing how we do it exactly.
@@EFRMotorsportdo you recommend a beginner making the decals with vinyl or is it difficult making the “brembo” with white powder coat?

These look epic, I went with highland bronze myself on my wheels, awesome in the sun.
Great Job! 👍🏼

This is a powder coat. Theres no color code, the color itself is called Illusion Spanish fly from Prismatic Powders.
Do you have a link to this color
This is Highland Bronze from Prismatic Powders.
Discovered wet glass bead blasting around 20yrs ago, it is the best way to clean old aluminium parts bar none 👌🏻
It definitely does wonders!
What powder color?

Sadly soon all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.
Yeah, its a very unfortunate reality..
🔥🔥🔥
probably costs six thousand dollars
At the Ferrari dealer yes!
Meh, i can do it better in my garage and for less money 😎😎
Challenge Accepted!
Love
AC gas refill. You mean freon recharge? LOL Bunch of BS unless system is leaking.
AC gas leaks out with time. So it has to be refilled every couple of years, especially in the UAE climate.
Its surprising how many people dont know that there is still refrigerant loss through the rubber hoses etc. no a/c system is completely sealed you always lose some. Where you are located you cant have a car without air conditioning
The music made the video so much worse.
Noted for next time. Thanks for the feedback!
Was this car buried for a couple years??? 😬
We are located in Abu Dhabi, UAE. So the local desert climate doesn't help the enthusiasts keep the car clean unfortunately.
is there some audio so I can hear what's happening?

That purple looks soooo good!
Looks even better in real life!
Spark plugs??????????
They were changed 5,000kms before the service in the video.
Oh, my God !!! Do not use Motul oil and much less in a Ferrari. Motul is one of the worst oils in the world which is just a big name. If you are not going to use the original Shell for Ferrari, then use Castrol supercars 25w60 especially for Ferrari. Motul almost damaged the engine of one of my Ferraris, I have used all brands of oil, but Castrol is the best.
Ferrari uses Penzoil Platinum with is approved for Ferrari's - not sure why Motul here
How many miles, how much did it cost… old major service was stupidly expensive… This is major service today…. Worthless info with miles and costs….
Miles are mentioned in the description! 100,000kms is around 62,000 miles FYI
I would hardly call that MAJOR service, which is nice that these cars are so well built. Just fluid changes, a couple checks, and a belt tensioner. I had read that the rear end fluid lasts the life of the car but no harm in changing it out. At only 62,000+ miles, this car is just getting broken in.
These cars are pretty well built besides the minor electrical issues here and there. At the end of the day it all depends how the car was treated and maintained throughout the years. As for the rear end fluid, it is highly recommended to change it out every once in a while to prolong the life of the transaxle.
Always better to do it in
