      It is dangerous to use a charcoal barbecue ? Fear about fire ups

    • @mikekeeling
      @mikekeeling ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lldavid4816 I've been using Weber performers for about 12 or so years and still love them. Some great accessories available like the cast iron wok. As for flare ups and such, use your head. These are best on concrete or stone like any grill. I use mine on a wood deck but keep it well clear off any walls and it is on heavy rubber grill mats in case any sparks fall out. Also you don't need any firestarters as that 1lb propane bottle gets your charcoal lit very quickly.

  • @lldavid4816

      @@lldavid4816 sorry, I'm afraid I don't know. I'm just a guy who built my grill. I'm sure if you go to weber.com or just google your question, someone has probably done a comparison article or video. Good luck.

    Ordered twice now from Lowes, both times the box and contents arrived damaged, the store was supposed to order another new one but instead after no communication we called the store only to find out they kept the grill there and ordered the replacement parts and were going to assemble it "for" us. We realize it could be a shipping issue but decided to get our money back and just order it directly from Weber. We'll see how it goes this time. Can't wait to get it fired up!

    Great timelapse video ... I have a Ford F-250 and Napier told me it will not work with the foldable truck cover ... Do you have any issues with your foldable cover and the tent ? Thanks !

    • @mikekeeling
      @mikekeeling ปีที่แล้ว

      This was a dry run. Our first time setting it up. When we went out for our first weekend using it, I removed the tonneau cove and put it on the ground underneath the tailgate. It's fairly easy to remove and putting it back wasn't too bad either. It is a little ungainly because of the size and it can unfold on you while you are tryin to move it but it really wasn't that hard. To take mine off, I folded it up to the last hinge before the cab and then laid on my back in the bed of the truck and backed off two plastic knobs. Just be careful not to lose them or any washers attached. Here's a link to show it setup when we were camping. You'll notice in the picture that we also purchased the Napier Link which is an 8'x8' tent that sets up on the ground behind the truck and connects to the tent in the truck. www.reddit.com/r/camping/comments/xgwse7/doing_some_fall_truck_tent_camping/

    Pro tip for assembling anything on a deck- a drop sheet prevents screws, nuts etc from falling through the gaps in the boards. Don't ask how I know this.

    Hi. What are the dimensions of the box? Trying to figure if I can fit this in my Sedan!

    • @mikekeeling
      @mikekeeling 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      sai krishna I'm not sure what the dimensions were. As you can see, it is a sizeable box. I don't know what type of car you drive, but I don't think the box would get through the back door of a standard sedan. If it was me I would either put it in the trunk and tie the lid down or you could always unpack the box and put the pieces in your car one at a time. I ordered mine from Amazon and the FedEx guy brought it to my deck. (Always be nice to the people that deliver things to you...) 🙂

    • @jayedeveraux
      @jayedeveraux 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      there is no way you can even get this in a standard size sedan. I had to hire a local courier service to get it home from the store where I got it as I didn't know anyone with a truck
